Bringing together all Carnity Photography, Videography, and Drone enthusiasts to share photos, thoughts, locations, ideas, tutorials.

ABOUT THIS CLUB

Enthusiast Photographers in the UAE have the benefit of having one of the most beautiful scenic landscapes in the world at their hands, and all just a drive away from one of the most modern cities you will find in the Middle East.

Carnity Offroad Club has more than 800 off-road enthusiasts and this gives us the ability to leave the beaten track and find the perfect location for taking stunning photos in the deserts and mountains of UAE.

This club focuses on photography in general, either made with your smartphone, or DSLR, or Drone. You can share your photos in the blog section, but the aim is also to post your questions and create a community where we can help each other.

We regularly organize events such as meteor shower spotting, astrophotography, and landscape photography.

When joining the club, please introduce yourself with your interests, existing gear, and what you'd expect from this club. Don't be shy to share your photos, there is no such thing as the perfect photo and we are here to learn from each other.

You can join this club from Carnity Newbie level onwards. This ensures you have a 4x4 and can join us on the events in remote locations.

  1. What's new in this club
  2. Just saw this Qatar vid. The tilt shift filming of driving on the dunes looks amazing.. just like little RC cars zipping around anyone got any ideas on how to pull off this kind of videography/capture?
  3. @Frederic, these are stunning! And after speaking with you last night, your voice really speaks through it. I especially love the grades of shades on the monochromatic Trooper photo, especially the shadows.
  4. I like to enjoy reading what is behind the art . But to read your own secrets that’s what I need to learn doin it . .. it’s the “paint and shade “ next then
  5. I have a thing with doors. They all have a story to tell. This was taken during daytime as I arrived a bit earlier: A few hours later, the door magically become a portal to another world: My (T)rusty Trooper: And the Farmhouse itself:
  6. I've only been able to look at the photos on my phone so far. Here's the one that I think was the least shaky one.
  7. There is a gallery made for your drive too https://carnity.com/gallery/category/1380-lens-lovers-star-photography-dubai-30-may-2022
  8. here's a photo from yesterday, @Shaker helped me a lot with the settings, no galaxy but if you look closer will see my car 😄🧐 and here's Shaker 😄
  9. Thanks to all of you for joining us last night on our night-time photography session ! @Shaker@Quresh Pajero@Stan Hassett@Morshedi@Simon Dawood@Tareq Al Turq@munkybizness We met up around 7PM, deflated a bit, and headed out into the Faqa terrain, where a tiny old farmhouse surrounded by some nice ghaf trees could serve as our subject. Soon everyone scattered and found their preferred spots to practice their camera skills and i loved the fact that it was so quiet and all of us were just taking in the surroundings and magnificent night sky. There was quite a bit of light pollution from the East unfortunately, not sure what the reason was, but we made the best of it, and the weather was cool and there was a gentle breeze. I love these evenings not just for messing around with the camera, but just for meeting up with likeminded people and enjoying the scenery. Please share your photos good and bad here on the topic and add the camera settings you used for that photo, as this helps us to better understand and study the optimal settings. See you all soon again !
  10. @munkybiznessif you are interested in joining, you are welcome to come anytime you like. As we are only 5-10 mins away from the main road, you can give me a call at 0 5 6 5 0 4 2 6 3 2 and i can collect you from the main road.
  11. Sorry @Frederic, I'm afraid work won't allow me to make it to the meeting point before 8pm. As such, please accept my sincere apologies for bowing out. All my camera gear is ready and packed, and I now have a Fuji Bro in Simon too. I feel so disappointed right now 😖 😠
  12. @Frederic apologies, will not be able to attend, which is a pity as I have been looking after an opportunity to try my new samyang lens. Until next time inshallah!
  13. @Frederic Fred, unfortunately I will have to pull out as well. Some thing else has come back for the evening.
  14. Sadly Fredy I have to withdraw as I just realized that damn 30 May is on Mon + 7 PM when my stars can never align, grrrrr.
