kris
The logic is very simple on this. If your tires are really old, then of course you must have driven your car on potholes and sometimes off road too. So basically when you are driving your car from a very long time with same original tires, they intend to loose their attributes after couple of years. If the tire pressure is not maintained properly it causes inflation i the car and it may turn up to leaking air from car. That is why it is strogly recommended that should take care of the tires properly and maintain the pressure in the same. Always take guidance from the service centre if the tires of your car needs to be replaced.

gshane
Of course, it's true. The materials loosens and that's why you should avoid buying very old tires even if they are new.
