victor
Any rise by a dirham or fils will have impact on overall economy and from week onward we will feel the same from small grocery store, delivery boys to shopping malls. Everything around us will rise by a small fraction and impact big on monthly bills.

javed
There's a silver lining though. Increase in gas prices might lead to fuel-efficient cars, hybrids and, most recently, all electric cars that can travel up to 160 kms between charges.Does anyone have any idea on availability of electric cars and hybrids in Dubai? Well after seeing fuel price changes = Petrol up and Diesel down, silver lining looks like more people will start driving diesel cars in UAE. Get ready for more pollution and black smoke hitting the streets.
