Parasitic Power Losses?

When something uses up some of the power that the engine is producing. Things like a supercharger, air conditioning, electrical things such as heater, lights, ICE etc causing the alternator to work harder

@Technician is right, but he left out the losses caused by the water and oil pumps. Generally, the smaller the engine, the bigger the losses caused by the oil and water pumps.

In the old days when cars still had fixed radiator fans, the fan alone accounted for about 20% of the total parasitic power loss.
