Police fine 150,000 AED for taking photos of an accidents

Recommended Posts

Dubai: If you do not wish to get a heavy fine of AED 150,000, you better avoid taking photos of accidents and later publishing them on social media platforms.

The Abu Dhabi police have issued a warning against taking pictures at accident sites can get you into serious trouble. Talking about the issue, Brigadier Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili, director of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police, mentioned that such practice cause hindrance to the work of traffic patrols, ambulance, and other civil defense vehicles. He further added that such delays may result in serious consequences and can worsen the situation of a victim.

The regulation was administered in accordance with the UAE’s Cybercrime Law No 5 of 2012, Article No. 21 which states that anyone who uses an electronic device to invade someone privacy will be given a fine of AED 150,000 to AED 500,000 along with an imprisonment of up to six months.

Moreover, drivers who deliberately stop their vehicles to just spectate the scene of a traffic accident will be fined AED 1,000 for blocking the road as it may cause a problem for the emergency team to reach the location.

Do you appreciate this step by the Abu Dhabi Police? Share your opinion with us and also some tips regarding how one should behave in case an accident occurs in front of them.

depending on location the police have been late to reach the place so its up to the people to help the victims...once i was on the bypass road where a canter pick up had went in a big ass truck the driver in the canter had been pinned by the steering column and after many cars stood the people gathered the manpower and tools to pull back the pickup and free the person after breaking the bent driver door and pulling him out the wreckage by the time he was out the civil defence police and ambulance had reached to see what was left of it...

Sometimes you need to take pictures of accidents as evidence. Completely agree about not posting them on social media though. Nobody wants to be scrolling and see their wrecked car.

I feel bad for any of his family that had to see that. It’s one thing watching a video online seeing someone’s guts spilling out but a lot of people forget that’s someone’s child, mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle.

Due to some unforeseen situation we like to switch the drive to Maliha area instead of Sweihan. Rest everything as usual.
Apologies for last minute change and will definitely do the sweihan route next week IA.
Meeting time: 11:30 PM, convoy will move sharp at 11:45 PM
Where: Adnoc Petrol Station Maleha Road
      GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/mzb26kxzte72

As promised after my two weeks break, will offer something really exciting for all experienced off-road drivers at Carnity. So what better than Sweihan adventurous night drive in the month of July when we have some well experienced night hawks in the convoy now. Thanks to Rahim bhai teaching in last few drives to break their fear of leading, I think this Sweihan night drive will hone their skills even more with tall rolling step dunes. They are difficult to enter due to their height, and one can only access them through "steps" strategy. Once on top they are fun to drive as all big dunes are inter-connected and offer broad ridge to ride and kick your last drop of adrenaline.
P.S. This is real Sweihan area drive and not Nahil area what we did in March. This will be quiet a few notch above Nahil dunes.
For newbies, I will post something equally exciting in next week for 13 July 2017.
      When: 6 July 2017
      Meeting time: 11:00 PM

      GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/CgheV2mSLp12
Level of drive: Fewbies - Intermediate

Type of drive: Adrenaline kicking fun drive with plenty of breaks and food time on top of some awesome dunes
Plan: Learn advance night sand off-road driving
What to bring along: Food, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
      Approximate finish time: 6 AM - 7 July 2017

      Safety advice:
All vehicles should have proper tow hook in front and back Drive is only open for proper 4x4 vehicles, not for SUV's, AWD, and Sedan's Vehicle should have minimum 10-12 inches of ground clearance Every vehicle should have proper shovel, deflator and tire pressure gauge Two way radio, air compressor, tow rope, Jack and shackle are advisable to carry if you have

As the weather begin to change for good, this might be the last night drive to enjoy this year, as now in night weather has become very pleasant with cool breeze. Time to enjoy chilled out desert drive in our much loved Mahafiz sandbox till the morning. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might continue play in morning at monster dunes after fossil rock area, if not we will end and exit.
This area offers a great mix of playable dunes and medium dunes to test your night driving skills. Depending on convoy strength and liking will plan the route to fit everyone's taste and capabilities.
Offroad lights are recommended for a night drive, but if you don't have you can still safely drive with your HIGH BEAM.
      When: 08 Aug 2019, Thursday
Meeting time: 11 PM, the convoy will move at sharp 11:15 PM - "NO EXCEPTIONS"
