Buying a Pajero!

Recommended Posts

4 door i wanted a big car cause i haven't had that before so i have to live with that is is not as good off road.... but 3.8 and locking rear and all the options i wanted and then some....

Next step is to get the car, fix the front bumper and strengthen the back bumper.

@WiLfY also has 3.8 and LWB and doing very well in sand, so its all good don't worry.

Wilfy and Sri maybe able to help you to advise on bumper trimming/reinforcement ideas.

Let's root for each other & watch each other grow.

@Per A the main issue while offroading is with the rear bumper which kinda works like a shovel. You can always attach a bar at the back or if you intend to maintain the original look this is a design I got from @Rahimdad. Pics are below but not necessarily in order.

For the front bumper it would be good to remove the front mud guard and might have to trim the bumper a bit. Alternatively, @WiLfY can suggest about getting a two inch lift which would eliminate the need for trimming the bumper and would also give a you a decent ride height.

Dear @Per A this is a rear skid plate.

You cannot buy this off the shelf, there are many fabricators in Sharjah Industrial area who can do this for you in about AED 200/- with fitting. Let me know once you have bought your Pajero so that I can point you out in the right direction.

@Per A I have added a 2 inch lift kit from dobinsons. This has transformed the drive and stability. Added a rear bumper protection just to prevent the rear bumper from being ripped off.  Alternatively you may just remove the rear bumper before driving and fix it back later.
