Yes @luwaimn we plan to have 4-5 hours of offroad drive in that area first and then end with a family BBQ.

@razeen hasan there is a Mosque in Tawi Nazwa area near to the meeting point. @Rahimdad can confirm if that Mosque has Friday prayer or not. If not I'm sure you can get Friday Prayer in Lahbab area, as there are several bigger mosque near the Lahbab roundabout, which is just 5 minutes drive from the meeting point.

Dear Experts,

I have just joined this club. As im very new(Super Beginner 😁) in the area of offroading as well as im still exploring my new ride. i would request you to let me know basic kit needed for offroading including cost and from where can i buy. As i use my car as a daily drive. I may not be interested in any modifications at the moment. Do let me know the things which are must for basic offroading. My intention was to join the ride on 5th April,But to be very frank, im little uncomfortable at this point of time. Also i do not want to include myself now and back off later.

@syedyaseer congrats on joining the off road club. For a new driver you first need to establish that this is something you want to continue. So initially we do not recommend you buy any off road equipment, just join us for a fun day which will make you more aware of the safety and other aspects of off roading. A complete list of equipment and other off road threads are available in off road discussions, kindly browse through those so that you can ask us specific questions you feel remain unanswered.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Thanks @Rahimdad Well Noted.  Im eager to take first step towards offroading. Will surely try for next meeting of newbie or anything more basic(super newbie)😄. Also is it safe to drive to fossil rock sharjah alone(one car with spouse & 2 kids). Dont mind for such basic questions as i have already mentioned i have never driven off-road. Not even i have tried desert safari

As the early morning weather is getting little better, so its been decided to split the Intermediate drive from midnight to early morning to experience both night drive and day drive in one go. Plan is to start bit late and drive for 2-3 hours in night, then take a break and then enjoy the fast pace morning drive in some amazing set of dunes in Al faqa desert. Al Faqa desert is famous for its long range tall dunes that are fun to drive at good pace for ridge riding, side sloping and testing your offroad skills. The drive is for Intermediates and above only.

Sweihan dunes also regarded as "Little Liwa" by some and offers plenty of opportunities to test our desert driving skills by climbing sideways, ridge riding, ridge cutting and to climb huge dunes to its peak and capture some stunning pictures.
