Frederic
Since living in the UAE and meeting so many people from different nationalities i have been on a quest to find out which music, band, or songs from your home-country you'd love to introduce to people that live here that don't know much about your country. I always believed music is a bridge to connect people and i regularly talk to my colleagues at work to try to find out what they were listening too when they were young and how this affected them. For example i was recently introduced to Aamir Zaki and i love it So in short; which bands or songs from your home-country would you like to introduce to us ? For me being Belgian: * TechnoTronic: Pump Up The Jam. Became a worldwide hit in 1988 * Two Man Sound: Disco Samba. Impossible to believe this was made by a Belgian. @Javier M you might know this song... * Confetti's : The Sound of C. During the New Beat period of 1988 (remember the smiley's) these guys made it big. * Deus: Suds and Soda: Best Belgian Alternative Band. * Toots Thielemans: Bluesette: Legendary Harmonica player. 3 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." Strings - My all time favourite song Najaney kyun from Spiderman the movie. Hope you enjoy the Pakistan flavour on offer.

Rahimdad
Amir Zaki was the guitarist for Vital Signs but has a lot of other work too. The lead singer for Vital Signs and the most popular person was Junaid Jamshed. He left singing as he became more involved in religion, was recently killed in a plane crash.
