A really good thing will be to ask for your old parts and packing in which the new parts came that way you can Google part numbers and know where it belongs

I have a gen3 pajero and for my 120K major service I changed the timing belt along with the pulleys(I think), is a waterpump change mandatory at this milage?

Alternatively, can anyone recommend the general parts to replace during the 120K service?

It’s definitely recommended as this is a very critical part. If it fails it will lead to overheating and maybe even a busted engine. It’s usually being replaced together with a drive belt as it provides easier access if I remember correctly. It’s not an expensive part.
