Toyota Land Cruiser 300 with 3.5 L turbo hybrid

Recommended Posts

Here another interesting story for LC300 engine spec sheet from Forbes.

Seems like having a fate of Range Rover (2016) and after few years of feedback, will go back to bigger V8 (2018).

Expected to be called the Land Cruiser ‘300,’ the all-new 10th generation vehicle will employ the model’s first-ever turbo hybrid setup. The current 4.6-liter V8 will be downsized to a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo hybrid combination that will reportedly generate around 350 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque.

In USA the LC from the 100 series up was never offered with the 6 cyl engine.

But for the middle East it will be an upgrade from the the current NA 4.0 v6 on offer which is under 250hp AFAIK

But engines with turbos just more shit to go wrong, intercoolers, more pipework, turbos them selves.

If you are going the forced induction route dunno why more manufacturers don't go the supercharged route?
