I would like to know expert advice in buying a hydraulic jack for my pathfinder and pajero. As it have extra clearance i would like to have something which fits fine and can be lifted with minimum effort. The stick which come along with is so small that its hard to get vehicle lifted most of the time.

-what minimum height should be taken into consideration while selecting jack height.

-preferable brands which does the job

-where to buy it from

-should lift vehicle with minimum effort.

Kindly guide in resolving this.

I have the JZX 2 Ton floorjack from DM. Works great and came with warranty.

Even a scissor jack can do but it's pretty tricky to use in sand...

Of course you can ride a bicycle on dunes too, but its pretty tricky.

PLEASE DON'T USE SCISSOR AND BOTTLE JACK IN SAND, if you love your car and limbs.

Hey Fuad,

Personally I've had no issues with the Current Mitsubishi Bottle Jack although some recommend against it, I lift the car from its control arm (make sure you have a wide baseplate). Lifting from the lower control arm means you won't have to raise the jack as much to get the rim and tyre up! :D

Cheers,
Jas
