- Off-road flag.

Hey Xaf welcome back buddy !

See you on Friday !

Thank you Frederic.

Regarding the Off-road flag;

My roofrail had a rubber, I removed it and it has a thread. Now I am looking for an "adapter" (no idea if this is the correct word), to screw it in and on the other side for example the AOR offroad flag. This way I don't have to use a bracket.

I don't know the size/type of the thread in my roofrail.

Any recommendation where I can try? I tried a Nuts and Bolt store, but they were not very helpful.

I am looking something similar too but I could not find it. I think the only way to have something like that is to find a person who can cut and weld stuff. Since I was able to find something like that I came up with another idea for the flag. I bought a suction cup (attached) and I duck taped my flag to the suction cup. I have not tested it yet but it looks pretty rugged. We will see it on Friday :)

The turning workshop can sort such things if you have idea or threads

I had made my bracket on a L shaped plate which is bolted on roof so I just stick the flag on the L bracket the pole has not went anywhere till now but have lost few flags

I think AOR has 10-12mm thread, I think @Emmanuel can confirm that as he is using AOR flag, if Im not mistaken.

Sorry I’m not sure about the size. It looks less than 10 mm but maybe I’m wrong. I’ll check tomorrow morning.

Hi Xaf, the correct term is a "reducer hex nipple".  Have a look below:

From the looks of it, this bolt is an M10. I think your thread in your roofrail is M12 but i am not sure.

If so, then you need a hex reduce nipple from M10 to M12.

A few months back i got some hydraulic hoses made by INFLEX, located in Al Quoz.

These guys really should be able to point you in the right direction. I saw cabinets full with these things at their shop.

You can also go to Ramy automotive in Al-Quoz, maybe they sell mounts for LR4.

Might be more expensive though

It’s actually for Xaf, I told him the same but he went to Ramy and they couldn’t help him 🤔
