Pajero Engine Valve Replacement - best practice

Recommended Posts

If two inlet valves have been marginal bent due to wrong timing belt installation without overheating the car.

Do we replace those two inlet valves only or all 24 Valves? Rest 22 valves are not bent nor damaged.

Engine has run approx 80K Kms.

Depends, if you want to do a complete rebuild or just repair motor to bring it back to its previous running condition. Also don't forget valve seats, if the valves got damaged then most probably the seats too.

I'm not sure what difference will it make on both scenario?

Valves arent consumable like piston rings, better to change all even if 1 is leaking.

If you are doing a rebuild i.e bringing it back into the shape the day it left the factory then it would be worthwhile doing all the valves and valve seats.

P S : Every moving part in an engine is a consumble that is suffer wear and tear
