Foxtrot Oscar
Another great drive , many thanks to @Srikumar for planning the route and leading us through some challenging dunes with lots of bowls . The sand wasn’t very forgiving at all and I think we all had to check our tyre pressure, re route , get a shovel or even a wee tug . But such are the conditions and this is just the reality of desert driving The new X continues to present problems in terms of the power , but hopefully that will be remedied soon enough and it certainly didn’t spoil my enjoyment , just made it a little more challenging . I just need to add that it was a really nice community of drivers this morning with everyone showing patience and a willingness to help each other . That’s the Carnity spirit 🥰 6
Shiju Manuel
It was really an adventures drive today since it was my first intermediate drive, me and my pajero did something today which never done before and i really wondered in some places how the car reacted in terms of power and climbs (of course i was in tip-tronic) When i arrive at the deflation point and seeing all the king of desert Jeepers and FJ super power off road cars, i was thinking how do i able to keep the pace with my 3.5L LWB pajero and i think i was able to maintain the pace and route in a possible manner. Thank you very much @Srikumar for organizing such an amazing route with lots of bowls and am really happy playing super bowl and iftar bowl. And all the co drivers where doing amazing drive today. And it was sad as well as shocking to see the other club FJ has fired at the iftar bowl, even though we have help them for giving our fire extinguisher. See you all soon, and wishing every one wonderful week ahead. Thank you.
Junaid Sayeed
Hi Great drive, with some really great people. Patience is key! This group displayed that with finesse. I finally learnt the shovel is important and its not about winching in the first go. At start I was worried with the momentum, but guess everyone needs time to understand the dunes! Once pace was initiated it was a great drive. Thank You For the lead! @Srikumar Thank you @J J for the intro.
