Chapter II : JGC .... we my wife and I had a dinner outside today and while in the way ( I am driving ) she asked me : did you adjust the side mirrors ?! .. I said Yes how did you know ? . She said : because I noticed that I don’t need to twist my head to watch the traffic in the mirror ( I also have this bad habit when I am driven by someone , keep watching the passenger side mirror 🤪) .i said I am glad you noticed it will be even better when you are driving . ... regarding the flat left driver side mirror needed to be adjusted slightly differently as the image is real and the coming car looks bigger consequently . Adjusted till I got the full panoramic view through the rear and side mirrors and bye bye for head forwarding, neck twisting and all theses thing that at least I and many others I believe were experiencing to compensate elimination or reducing the damn blind spot. ... no spots any more .... on the way back we switched seats and saved for her driver position 2 with the new mirror adjustment as well .

wish you all good day

cheers 😎👍🚙

Problem with Xterra when i adjust my seating position(I am driving near to the steering wheel) my left mirror is not turning out as much as i need it to turn. I am always having blind spot issue with Xterra. My Jeeps was ok for that.

Actually I believe the other way around the more you slide your seat toward steering wheel the less need for turning you side mirror according to the video . For me I am having my seat max slide back and I put max the mirror can be adjusted 😉

Summary of mods of my X :

1. bash / skid plate to protect the radiator

2. High profile A/T tires

( both done before My very first drive with Carnity )

3 . Finally today I got my ABS kill switch installed and tested

4. Stock tow hooks still in good condition , possibly after a few tug/ pull here and there ... will be needing a replacement later with either fabricated or a genuine good quality ones.

last but not the least ( not considered off road specific ) .. Side mirrors Correct adjustment in my all vehicles ( no blind spots ) .

cheers

Xterra has a weak rear tow hook... spending another 50 to 100dhs will fix this problem.

Suppose to be straight and it has bend while recovering. This is extremely dangerous when you do extreme recoveries.

@Asif Hussain looks like I will edit my X mods summary soon 😄

Hi All,

Very useful post. Could see all the Xterra gang is on this thread..

I finally ended up getting an XTerra 2014 OR version recently. With all the above mods being suggested, can you also please suggest which garages specialize in Xterra modifications or checks.

I'm sifting through some of the old threads to gain more info on this. The one I bought does have a squeaking sound and I'm not sure if I need to get the shocks replaced.

Also, read in some thread by @Foxtrot Oscar that engine and gear mounts need to be checked for used Xterra's - good pointer, thanks.

Is there any garage/specialist in Dubai where I could get things checked out as well as eventually getting the required mods mentioned here?

Thanks in advance..

Thank you again  @sertac@M.Seidam@Rizwanm2@Zixuan Huang - Charlie for all your recent feedbacks :)
