Sudden drop in fuel consumption

I started experience a sudden low in fuel consumption in my Cruze, the knocking problem seems to be pertinent, is this something to do with the exhaust pipe or something seriously be considered.

depends on your driving, ac usage and the type of fuel that you started using after sometime. When was the last time you took your car for service, if you have skipped that check it these all can be the factors for the drop in milege

For me its a similar situation.. mine happened after servicing.. i did my service in Enoc ..Service center recently in Yellow Hat Ras Al Khor .. After that its.. efficiency has dropped drastically ...they used TOTAL ..lube for oil change..

sudden drop can be a problem, the fuel gauge or the exhaust pipe needs to be cleaned, the oil needs to be changed, or the clutch pedal maybe holding. Please have a check the oil.

Also check or change the Air Filter as its one of the most important element pertaining low fuel mileage as due to dirty or clogged air filter fuel is burning rich than lean and drinking more fuel per km.
