Two Way Radio Guidelines

• Every Offroader brings his own radio, programmed to the frequencies described in below advice topic.
• We will not share spare radios or program your radio on the drive. If you need assistance in programming the radio, post a topic on the Carnity website with your questions and we will help you out. 
• Make sure your radio is fully charged. It will be your only way of communication while driving.
• Before buying, please carefully read below advice so you are informed properly on which model / cost / shops...
• No radio = No drive. It is an essential tool and you should make sure you bring it on every drive and learn/practice how to use it.

Level:  Newbie and Above (All Levels)

When:  2 April 2021, Friday.

Meeting time: 6:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and your own compressor for tyre inflation.

Approximate finish time: 10:00 AM

 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• Limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Thursday - 9 AM.
  • If the RSVP is full and you wish to join, please mention your name on the drive thread to add on the waiting list. 
• Latecomers will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.

Hey, I have a problem in that a walkie talkie I ordered didn’t arrive today. I have some but they aren’t programmable so I’m told they are no good for these drives? If so them I’ll have to gracefully bow out unless the drive leaders have a spare? If not of course I understand but just letting you know

You're all confirmed for tomo drive - but not until I know that you have clicked 'totally agree' "EMOJI" with the new COVID restrictions requirements for the drives. 

Numbers are rising and we will be much more vigilant this week and beyond until the pandemic is under control.

So make sure that you confirm that you totally agree with the new rules. No confirmation = no drive. Hopefully that's clear enough. 

And, if you don't comply on the drive: 

1. You'll be escorted straight out of the desert

2. You'll earn youself a ban from Carnity. 

If you have any questions on this, let me know - but I think this is pretty clear. And it applies to you, me and everyone on the drive.

We will be using Radio Chanel 1 - 446.006'25 for all drive communication.

Some important pointers:

1) Please watch the Newbie Video Briefing in case you have not done it before.

2) Please go through the COVID regulations and abide by them during the drive.

3) Please fully charge your Radio and set to Carnity frequency, channel 1 - 446.006'25.

4) Please make sure you have a safety flag and know how to fix it firmly on your car.

5) Make sure your front and back towpoints are in perfect condition. We will need them to recover you safely.
