hi @Warren Flay kindly refer to ADMediaOffice screenshot on this page >> https://www.instagram.com/p/CKqh0YBBBh8/?igshid=ce2jn0ytcmqk

The footnote says u don't need test to enter Abu Dhabi, but the E icon is green with outer yellow. Not sure if this is the same icon you have on your Al Hosn.

Just checked Zed, my 'E' is yellow with yellow script on a green field. New this month, the app lists my vaccination dates along with alll of my previous test results.

Dear Friends

Thanks for signing up on this drive. Please note the mandatory gear required for joining this drive

1. Programmed Radio

2. Shovel

3. Off Road Flag

5. Compressor

Not having any one means you will not be riding on sands this Friday. Please arrange them for your and everyone's safety.

Please make sure your cars are in best of conditions and all fluids topped up.

Kindly go through the newbie briefing video in the drive thread, very important advises there for desert driving from the experts at Carnity.

Meeting /Start Point Updated on the Drive and Calendar

Nearest Gas station is ADNOC Al SAAD (854)

We plan to drive from Yahar and head North ( #asfaraswego 🤣). . Personally I am excited to be back in Sweihan , you all in AD are blessed with some amazing desert areas with absolutely stunning dunes to play and learn.

Cheers!

Yesterday and today we have had thick fog in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The same is forecasted for tomorrow.

@Chaitanya D you might want to revise the start time to avoid waiting in the desert. Thanks!

Please drive safely to the start venue. @Mikhail Lukichev

The fog was very variable in Dubai as it was clear in some places and foggy in some. I wonder how was it in Al Ain / Yahar and Sweihan. If any one who stays around that place can update it would be good.

I am not sure if we really need to revise the start time as of now, but i will keep you posted.

The previous drive to Bu Tais I left home 4am thinking I have ample time to reach by 6am. Then halfway through around 5am, fog settles in and I have to drive below 80km/h to prevent fines (speed cameras automatically adjust to 80 if fog is detected). I reached around 6:15-6:20am but was surprised people were there before me with tyres deflated. Moral of the story: I should have left at 3am, don't assume no fog 😅 Even if we arrive too early, we can make use of the time to sleep and the Marshall will knock your window to wake you up when it's time 😄

As I know from experience, it is very hard to predict fog. If certain atmosphere conditions are present, fog can materialize literally from nowhere. And vice versa.

In any case, pls note that speed limit on all Dubai - Abu Dhabi / Al Ain roads is 80 km/h during fog.

Thanks!
