Hi @Chaitanya D, it's my first night drive. Any additional light requirements for the car?

Is the camping recommended for kids / family as well or not?

No need for additional lights, high beam and fog lamps is ok.

you can bring your family or kids - make sure they are comfortable driving in sand at night

it will be super cold , so please bring in warm clothes, blankets, tent or sleep in car with flat back seats etc accordingly- mentioned in the drive thread

@Chaitanya D if its mandatory to camp till morning then I will have to leave the drive as there is an early morning drive at 7 by @Shaaz Sha from Mahafiz

Now that I have been accepted for this drive, i will be coming with my 2 boys as well.

First time spending the night in the dessert - looking forward to this experience

Please note the following for tomorrows drive

Preparations

• bring your food as you like - prepared/Barbeque.
• Bring pits for fire - NO FIRE ALLOWED DIRECTLY ON SAND STRICTLY.
• Bring your torch/LED camping light s if you have.
• Bring sufficient warm clothes/jackets/sleeping bags , for your tents (if you have) as it will be cold in the desert. 
• Bring sufficient enthusiasm, of course be COVID safe .
• Keep yourself safe from creepers , walk where you see especially in night.
• Bring your garbage bags to collect the trash 

What to expect

• Drive level will be strictly Newbie level - easy - to enjoy the cool weather outside and reach our camping spot.
• No need for extra off road lights, high beams with fog lamps is ok.
• camping in the desert for a whole night for some who have not done before will be a nice experience.
• Great time to chit chat for a while around a fire 🔥 

ABSOLUTE ZERO TOLERANCE - NO GARBAGE/ TRASH TO BE LEFT BEHIND.

Convoy List will be as below

 

We will use Radio Chanel 1 for Coms 

Myself, @Anish S, @Looper and @Lakshmi Narasimhan will be managing the recoveries if any.

My name is there , I can’t stay as well for the night for personal reasons  , I saw in the above comments that staying over night is not optional so better I leave the space for another colleague who is willing to spend the night and leave by early morning . @Chaitanya D
