Morning Newbie Desert Drive - Untamed Al Fayah - Abu Dhabi - 9 Jan 2022

Drive Brief
This drive will allow to discover a beautiful and largely untamed stretch of desert, i.e. the area of Al Fayah in Abu Dhabi, on the south east side of E75 Al Fayah road. This area is known for its bright sand, its big dunes with sharp crests and its large swooping bowls. In such an ideal territory for a Fewbie Drive, we will enter at 7:00am from E75, heading east. After reaching an area of stunning rock formations unexpectedly emerging out of the sand, we will loop back to our entry point heading west facing the sunset, getting back on the tarmac of E75, hopefully carrying away a great deal of fun and memories from this inspiring discovery drive.

This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and and strictly follow these guidelines in order not to jeopardize someone's health, and to ensure we can keep organizing these drives safely.

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above (All Levels)

When:  09 Jan 2022, Sunday

Meeting time: 7:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and your own compressor for tire inflation.

Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM

End Point: E75 Al Fayah Road

Limited Spots Available:

• Limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Thursday - 9 AM.
  • If the RSVP is full and you wish to join, please mention your name on the drive thread to add on the waiting list. 
• Latecomers will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

For your first drive, please bring a tire pressure gauge, deflator and compressor so you can deflate and inflate your tires.

If you do have offroad gear such as a flag, shovel, recovery rope or others, please bring it along as well.

If you have a UHF Radio you can bring it along, and program it to the Carnity Frequencies as per the below post. If you don't have radio we will provide spare radio to use. From second drive onward you need to get your own radio.

1) Please watch the Newbie Video Briefing in case you have not done it before (link provided in above post)

2) Please go through the COVID regulations and abide by them during the drive. (link provided in above post)

3) Please bring a tyre deflator and pressure gauge. 

4) Please be on time or a bit before time so we can assist you in deflating the tyres where needed.

5) Make sure your front and back tow points are in perfect condition. We will need them to recover you safely.

We will be broadcasting on frequency 446.006-25 (Carnity Channel No.1) once you reach to the meeting point please switch on your radios.

Those who had not programmed the radio please find below post on how to program. New members if you don't have radios we will provide spare radio to use. From the second drive onward you need to get your own radio.

Hi guys,

I was 30 min away from the meeting point driving from Dubai. Police control asked me about a PCR 14 days or less and I got one 16 days old. I was not aware of this between emirates, my fault. 
you guys enjoy the dunes, hope we can do it next weekend.
