Ford Service Garage

Does anyone knows any good service garage for Ford. I've got '07 Explorer and got 85k on the odo. its time for the big service and as usual Al Tayer is asking for about 1200 AED for service & 85k Routine Maintenance Checks before any snags. Good guys at Al Tayer also told me to keep the car for atleast 3 working days. And if I notify them any problem (which can be a part of 85k RMC) they will additionally charge me 189 dirhams just to look at the concern (offcourse there will be an extra charge for part replacement). And so the list continues and drool is endless nameless. Like I asked them if they can pull out the codes of Engine Emission Control ( as the orange engine light appeared twice in past 6 months & went off on its own). You bet the charge for the computer is 300+ dirhams. I am sure when they'll plug-in OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics Computer) as a part of their RMC, it will automatically indicates the wrong one, anomalies.

Bottom line is I am looking for a good reliable service garage for Ford!

I know exactly what you talking Sami.

Best bet is drive to Al quoz area there are plenty of good and decent garage. Drive in two to three places and ask them charges and time needed. Before going there get the schedule maintenance list handy which can tell them how much work is involved. All these pro guys have X Launch OBD II computer and they can see if any trouble code as a goodwill gesture (for free). There usual cost is 100 -150 dhs for computer diagnostics.

I can remember one name on top of my head is Technical Garage where i went once with my old car and they seems pretty genuine and professional. Go in a quoz from MOE side keeping MOE on right drive down 3-4 red lights and keep looking on left you will see them. Go ahead and take a u turn and comeback. Go some place else also for second opinion and price check. Good luck.

From experience, i went to this Garage 10 days ago and had general checkup ++ for my Ford Explorer and they did very very well where they have specialists in FORD with a very reasonable costs - I do recommend them the most ...

Just to share my "worst" experience at Car Master Garage (Al Qouz - Dubai) whom i thought they are a master in FORD maintenance.. I was totally mistaken and found out today that they have a group of unproffesional and un-ethical team ... I put my car for Engine Mount + Upper arms and Establizer change and they didn't know how to fix properly ON TOP they broke the fan frame without informig me -- I had to find my mistake when I oppened the engine cover!!!!!!!! I used to recommend but found myself fooled by bunch of unexperienced and cheaters

Hello everyone,

I am in the process to get on Explorer. Can anyone suggest a mechanic/ garage ( other than the one suggested above in this thread ) who can check the car thoroughly before I take a decision to buy the car.

It would be great if any member can answer me today as I need to go for the chek-up this evening.

Try A2B Garage in Al Qouz...I take my Mercury Mountaineer there and the guys do a great job!
