ASAD.
Hello peeps, looking at the msgs this morning, seems like dense fog in and around Abudhabi this morning so will have to plan travel accordingly tomorow. @Srikumar any suggestions of delayed start maybe?
Srikumar
Yesterday evening was extremely humid resulting in the fog this morning. Lets keep the meeting time still at 6:00 AM, incase anyone is running a bit late (due to fog only), they can put a message on the forum or give me a call on 055-9567471 and we would wait for them. Please note that the speed cameras in Abu Dhabi reduce to 80 km/h in the event of fog, so please drive below that to avoid getting unnecessary fines. 3

This means there's no use driving 120 through the fog as you risk both fines and accidents... but i'll try to leave 3hours earlier 😂 1
Popular Post Looper
I and @Zed were at Swihan today. Please note these words of caution. 1. There was dense fog starting from Dubai till about 12km before Swihan. I was on E611 till I reached E75 truck road. The visibility was about 200-300 ft and I could safely drive about 85-90kmph only and not more. Trucks were not plying on the road and were parked by the side. 2. As soon as I reached E75 which is in Abu Dhabi, I got messages from AD police saying that the speed limit is 80. Because of dense fog and it being single road I did not drive over 75 and some times even less as visibility was quite bad. Again there were no tucks only few small commercial vehicles. 3. I continued to drive at about 75ish KMPH on E16 which is a 140kmph road even after fog was lifted till I reached Swihan because in Abu Dhabi you will get fines if you cross 80 if you have received fog warning messages. In Dubai, you would not get warnings and you should have issues but, as per the rules you should be below 80 kmph. 4. My planned time was 1:30 hours to reach the destination but the speed limits added about 20 extra minutes to the commute time. So plan accordingly. DRIVE SAFE. Edit: tagging all so that you will receive emails. @Amr Aydin, @Alexanderrr, @ASAD., @Waqas Parvez, @Vaibhav,@DP1011 , Deepak wrangler, @Tom B, @Anoop Nair, @Simon Dawood PS: while it might not be relevant to our drive, but there were crazy number of other clubs and crazier drivers at the meeting point.
