Do i have to change torque converter fluid in ford Explorer?

I have changed the transmission oil before 3 times but when changing it this time a friend of my asked me if i changed the torque converter fluid and i got a bit worried as i have never done that.

It is imp. to change the fluid? If so how to change it?

Assuming you have checked the torque converter for a drain plug. Change the fluid and the filter in the rest of the transmission that will replace enough of the degraded fluid with new fluid so that it makes it unnecessary to drain the fluid in the torque converter.
