Let's aim to cross the Liwa Crescent from one side to another.

To experience the magic of Rub’ al Khali (Empty Quarter) the largest uninterrupted desert on Earth!

The Liwa Crossing through Empty Quarter offers a chance to witness nature in its purest form and in itself is a transcendent experience. However, traveling through the largest desert in the world is not something that should be taken lightly.

It will be a 150 - 200 km off-road drive covered within 1.5 days through amazing breathtaking views and the enormous size of dunes on earth.

What you will find here:

  • Tallest sand dunes (200 - 300 meters)
  • Steepest incline and drops
  • Longest side sloping
  • Broad ridge riding
  • Faster heartbeat
  • Sweaty hands

  • Your car should be in 100% pristine working condition, so double or triple check everything.
  • Full-size spare tire with a lug wrench to match your wheel nut size and its depth.
    • For aftermarket rims - Your lug wrench also needs to match the wheel nut depth.

Wanted to know if jerry cans are mandatory? On a full tank I can go just above 600km. I'll refill at the gas station before the drive, thanks.

600km off-road ?

Fuel requirement is mentioned here:

Fuel requirement:

  • 6 Cyl cars = 100 Liter (Minimum) - 120 Liter (for more fuel-guzzling cars)
  • 8 Cyl cars = 120 Liter (Minimum) - 140 Liter (for more fuel-guzzling cars)
  • Carry an additional required number of jerry cans based on your car fuel tank capacity.

As you have a V8 you will need to have a minimum of 120l of petrol (combination of gas tank + jerry cans).

This is mandatory without exceptions. Of course if your main tank is already 120 liters then you are good.

  • Thanks (+1) 1

Close to 600km on road, not sure about offroad lol, the tank capacity is about 144l so I'll be fine. Thanks.

I am very disappointed that I will no longer be able to make it. I’ve been looking forward to this for a year. No thanks to QIC, the worst insurance ever, who have taken 3 weeks to issue an LPO for an accident where someone hit me in the rain in DECEMBER. Have fun guys, takes LOTS of pics for me

Hi @Kailas two weeks in a garage and I still didn’t manage to get my car back yet. I’m still holding out hope but looking less likely with every passing hour. I see there’s no one on the WL so I won’t leave yet but wanted to give you heads up in case I don’t make it. I was really looking forward to this and miracles do happen but in case this time it doesn’t, you guys have fun!
