timing bearing needs to be changed so dose the belt as well?

the bearing of my timing belt needs to be changed so the mechanic advised to change the timing belt as well not that it is required but it is better to change both

somehow i am not convinced that the both have to be changed so i need a second opinion please

Changing timing belt and timing belt bearing is a very long and lenghty procedure. While changing belt it is advisable to change the bearing and vice versa, to not to open engine and spend money and time after 6 months for another part.

Mechanic is right and let him change both, belt isnt very expensive but changing labor must be.
