scot
I dont know about 2005 models. But check and see if you have a throttle cable, could be loose.
edison
2005 has throttle cable very well, and if you are feeling the throttle has too much play then scot is right. Get throttle cable adjusted and see if it help. If throttle has no play and actually takes full throttle to depress to move the car then get full check or service done, it might have many reasons: Choked air filter, bad fuel pump, bad fuel filter, old spark plug etc.
