welly911
Good afternoon all, need some advise? New 110 in desperate need of new rubbers! Previous owner hasn't changed them since 2006... Presently wearing 235/85 R16. Have read that 255/85 R16 or even 285/85 R16 could be possible. Wonder how this will affect ride on the road and whether there could be possible rubbing. Finally whether spacers will need to be added. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. victor21
235 - 285 would be bit over IMHO, 255 is doable. Im not concern about base width gain of 2 or 4 cm in total, but more on height variation which will gain from 32 inch (stock) to 35.38 inch. Your current setup: 85% x 235 = 199.75 cm x 2 = 399.5 / 10 (cm) = 39.95 cm / 2.5(inch) = 15.98 + R16 = 31.98 inches tall Option 1: 85% x 255 = 216.75 cm x 2 = 433.5 / 10 (cm) = 43.35 cm / 2.5(inch) = 17.34 + R16 = 33.34 inches tall Option 2: 85% x 285 = 242.25 cm x 2 = 484.5 / 10 (cm) = 48.45 cm / 2.5(inch) = 19.38 + R16 = 35.38 inches tall
welly911
Many thanks for the reply, wondering if the bigger tyres will rub or whether ill have to adjust the suspension. Looking to put BFg ATs on the LR. Any suggestions where in Dubai to get the best deal? Thanks again.
