white smoke

the car exhaust is throwing out white smoke and i can smell something but i am not sure what the smell of

It cud be two things only and they both are bad.

You fried the head gasket and coolant is getting mix with oil and producing smoke. If also experiencing loss of power majorly then its head gasket confirmed.

Or else

Your piston rings is leaking engine oil in combustion chamber and getting burnt, resulting in smoke. For this check engine oil level regularly and if it deplete, its confirmed.
