Please share what was your worst car problem ever happened? Why and how it happened (if you know)? And how you dealt with it?

Car break down on highway on the way to al ain and started making loud whistle. Detour to one of enroute village/small town and shown car to mechanic and found car exhaust from down have hole due to rusted pipe and now increasing the size due to pressure. Search exhaust welding guy to seal that hole to bring car screeching whistle down. For next two hrs my ears was numb....
