what causes wheel bearing to make noise?

What causes the wheel bearing to make noise. its just that i want to know before i go into a good mechanic dont want to stand there as a dork and not know what is happening.

the major part of the weight is on the bearings which is on the suspensions so with time they tend to wear off and need to be changed or else it may cause more damage to the suspensions.

The wheel bearings inside of a wheel hub are the parts that make the wheel and the hub to turn around the spindle.with harsh driving conditions, lack of lubrication and time can damage the wheel bearings . Once the wheel bearing is damaged it will prevent the wheel and the hub from turning on the spindle. Always inspect the wheel bearings at the first sign of any noise.

the only resolution to the problem is get the wheel bearing changed.
