fifth gear is a problem to shift too

the fifth gear is a bit difficult to engage from first to forth all goes good only when i shif to fifth its a task. i stopped driving after this what can i do to fix this problem

having check the gear Oil will be a good start.

when there is a lack of transmission oil the gear's tend to go bad.

If changing gear oil, get the new gear oil filter too. If its still same after oil and filter change i suggest show it to good VW mechanic and dont ignore. In Golf and Polo small problem should be attended immediately before becoming serious issue.
