The year was 1935. Germany needed a car that everybody could buy. A German engineer named Ferdinand Porsche created the best design. His car was called Volkswagen which means people's car in German. Man years later, Porsche made his own famous sports cars.

Did you also know that Adolf Hitler commissioned its creation and he also specified to Ferdinand how the car should look like, what the max speed of the car should be, how many people it could carry and how much it should cost! Oh and let me add that he was in prison when he came up with the idea ... !! It was to end the unemployment problem in Germany.

Wow the birth of the VW beetle sounds really interesting. And all this time I owned a beetle and didn't know that adolf hitler had a hand in it too.

That's something really interesting about VW. No doubt, German cars have their own style in the market and now i supposedly know the reason why.
