noise form the engine?

I heard that there is ticking noise coming from the engine of 6-series BMW(series coupe). I don’t own one, but many of my friends reported the same issue. Also, that the dealers are unable to diagnose why this noise is coming. I mean is it true. Planning to buy one, but if such is a case I will drop the plan to go for BmW brand.

Somewhere it’s true actually. I owned 3 BMWs, and trust me the noise from the engine was the common problem in all. I don’t say the choice is bad, but the manufacturing is not that great, that’s why, noise from all the three cars. It’s a good choice, but maintenance can really make you nuts sometimes.

Not really sure. My car is runnign really fine and smooth without any engine noise!
