  1. You can also try putting in 500ml of ATF 100kms before your next oil change and use a fully synthetic oil due to both fluids having greater detergent qualities. But you could end up with new leaks as sludge might actually be holding some leaks back. Also nothing will actually fully clean your motor without actually pulling it apart but will help of you do a couple if these cycles. Also sludge builds up overtime and a temp overheating issue will not cause it. If your car overheated so much as to turn your oil into sludge ot would surely blow the head gaskets as well cause other serious damage. So its probably been building over time, due to poor oil quality, low oil quality and delayed changes or all off the above. And I would surely have the motor cleaned up, as the sludge could be blocking oil passages which lubricate and cool vital parts of the engine. When I bought my disco at 170k it was slightly sludgy as I could see from the oil cap. But after continuous use of diesel oil when the engine was stripped at 300k for a new timing chain and gears and general cleanup. Didnt find any sludge anywhere.

  2. It's indeed a very nice example of good restoration job considering the age of this Mitsubishi Jeep. Btw, you can read here more in detail about the Mitsubishi Jeep's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ#Mitsubishi_Jeep

  3. This Iranian guy is just famous because of her sister appearance of few seconds in every video - real eye candy for folks seeing the curves and liking his video. Like you watch some commercials if models are hot and others you dont'

  4. Ok, let's see the showroom open and the "cars" on the road then. Then we'll see what's happening. Give me a financial backer I'll build a one off 10,000 BHP super car and 8x8 that will beat the devel cars into submission but it means nothing when you produce a single prototype and aren't supplying to customers.

  5. /pedant hat on Freon, also known as CFC12 or R12 hasn't been used in cars since 1993 because it was a major cause of the hole in the ozone layer. Anything 94- uses H134a/R134a. If anyone tells you they are putting Freon in your car, question their technical ability. /Pedant hat off Be careful with water leaks in the M/N62 series engines. Sounds like you got very lucky. They are very prone to overheating damage requiring the heads and block to be skimmed. Hoses do fail sometimes but after replacement, I would look into if there's any pressure issues that caused the hose to fail. Also, very good advice to wait for an engine to cool before you add any cool fluids to it. Basic physics, metal expands and contracts. If cold water hits part of a hot engine, it can cause that part of the engine to cool down faster than the surrounding area which can cause it to crack.

  6. I agree to change all hose pipes which are of similar age and condition, means they are about to fail and burst any moment. You might not be this much lucky in next incident and you know how expensie BMW repairs are if you are a long time user.

  7. AAA are very good if you can afford them, alternatively 4x4 motors, offroad zone, and icon auto are also nice for Jeep related matters. One of my friends was very happy with them.

  8. rising temperature does make the freon head pressure to rise and send it right through the safety valve usually located on the compressor... that part of cut and join does work in some cars as the length is long but in some cars with the vibration and engine thrusts it will come back out when least expected....

  9. Well you were lucky enough to find someone to patch up your car so you won't be stranded, now go get it replaced ASAP and if you can afford it change the other hoses as well as they probably are of similar age and in similar condition. And AC freon has nothing to do with the engine cooling system. You probably have a leak somewhere in the AC system

  12. that's where the exhaust temperature gauge comes in handy to really tell you exactly where things are going when you are throttle happy....the cooling system is fine even i hope the oil quality is good as he has been here for few oil changes and i dont see him trying to put camel oil to save a few bucks...its that the exhaust gas temperature gives you an instantaneous picture of exactly what is going on inside your engine. As loads build, exhaust gas temperatures rise. If they’re rising too high it’s a pretty safe bet your engine is running hotter than a pressure cooked fryer … and will no doubt culminate in a fried head this also serves as to see a side of your engine that is honestly far more important than what your coolant is doing. It can tell you if your fuel mix is too rich or lean, your exhaust is too restrictive, and if you need to ease off the right foot as you’re climbing a hill.
