  3. Hi, I drive a Pajero 3.8l 2010 model with Rockford sound system. Today while starting the car, i heard a pop sound from my speakers and then noticed a message "Error DC" on the display of the sound system. There was no sound coming from the speakers and all the buttons on the radio where not functioning. After a couple of minutes some of the buttons started functioning but there was no sound. I turned off the vehicle for a minute and restarted. The same issue. However the bluetooth microphone was working all the while. At the gas station I turned off my vehicle for a few minutes and then restarted the car, and things were working back as normal. Since then I restarted the car a couple of times and have had no issues. But I was wondering if this "Error DC" is a warning sign that something in the audio system might break down very soon and should I be taking some precaution? Anyone experienced this issue before?

  4. @Barry i didn't mention additives, I mentioned adulteration. If you ever go to Ajman / Sharjah Industrial Area you will find plenty of diesel tankers and one of the biggest business for the testing laboratories in that area is to check the sulphur content, flash point and distillation range of each tankers. Bigger companies that buy huge quantities of diesel setup their own in house lab to do the testing. I have personally worked in the Diesel business and I can assure you it's a complete mafia. Fuel distribution by private sector is not regulated by the govt. Also, just say I subscribe to CAFU monthly service and need a refulling 5-6 times a month, how is it that they would be viable by charging only AED 45 for this service ? For me the peace of mind of buying petrol at the gas station far outweighs the risk of buying petrol from a private party. That's what i mentioned when Carnity had posted the news. This was a very smart way to ensure that the rich don't have to wait in a line to fuel their cars. If they really wanted to implement the proper way there should be no separate line for self serving customers. Both lines can be combined like before. Anyone who needs the attendant to fill the petrol can be charged at that particular point. This would eliminate the line at Self Serving Station

  6. Try to stay away from the car dealers...most likely you will get scammed...and they will definitely not let you take it to a garage as all the secrets would come out

  7. As far as anyone drives sensibly and not recklessly - driving and kicking tires in 2WD and endangering others and his own life, I don't think authorities will have an issue with that. Our high-level drives include the difficult terrains but still, we drive sensibly and adhere to all safety aspects and always point out drivers when they are two-wheeling on top of dunes. Hope you remember that

  8. God bless the authorities here for taking such an instant action to control such accidents in the desert. Very well laid out and this needs to be properly shared, advertised and enforced to every offroader in UAE. https://www.khaleejtimes.com/nation/sharjah/police-intensify-patrolling-of-deserts-mountain-areas-in-sharjah

  11. Seems unbelievable as most limited number cars I've come across have a plate and certificate that comes with the car showing which number they were manufactured. So if they produce 500 cars they would be numbered from 1 to 500 which would be embossed on a plate and stuck near the dash board along with a certificate. These are not duplicated and if they were to produce say 500 cars only you would not see number 501. So I can't imagine manufacturers making so much money and being cheap enough to pull a stunt which would ruin their reputation for future limited models.

  13. A little tip which still might be relevant. Back in my cruiser days I noticed a lot of parts were similar to the land cruiser but just in Lexus for the LX470 branding packaging but much more pricier Like brake pads for example. Car manufacturers love to cut costs and share parts and platforms with other vehicles so you could see what parts the LS shares with other Toyotas and sake some money
