  1. Hi Sandeep, welcome to carnity offroad club and good you asked such question beforehand. Although newbie desert drives are very safe and involve no much dune bashing other than crossing the dunes straight up and down, but such young passenger might be uncomfortable for long hours in their baby seat. Secondly, why don't you join first and learn the desert basics and then judge by yourself if it's gonna be comfortable for your kid or not for next drive?

  4. Good luck for option 2 (best choice) and hope she gets well soon with all new organs. Is this in half cut you sourced, meaning you had a look at odometer reading or was it out of the car?

  5. Honking the horn - right way 1 or 2 quick short beep - friendly way to remind the driver to gain attention if he is lost on mobile on redlight while it turns green 2 short beep + 2 short beep is enough for some annoying driver to give them a chance to start behaving on road Long constant horn is outright rude and it should be only used to avoid a collision or in some extreme cases The correct way to use headlights 1 or 2 quick flashes is enough to let the car ahead of you know to clear the way from overtaking (passing) lane Constant flashing is considered rude and should only be used when you spot something seriously wrong in the car in front of you If someone does constant flashing behind you means pull over and check your car from all sides unless you were blocking them Brake light signaling 2 to 3 quick brake light signals if someone is too close to you to tell them back off in a civilized way 2 to 3 brake light signals followed by constant brake light means slow down fast as traffic ahead is moving slowly Constant brake light means to hold your steering tight and slow down very fast as traffic ahead is not moving at all Turn indicators - correct usage You should use them at least 20 - 30 meters ahead of your turn You should use them at least 40 - 50 meters ahead of changing lanes You should NOT use left turn indicator on the fast lane to intimidate others Flasher or double indicator - the real meaning Only to be used in case of emergency stopping or slowing down suddenly on the fast-moving road for a short while Can be used one quick blink to say thanks for sharing the lane, hi and bye to your friends and family on the road NEVER meant to be used on rainy or foggy days, as it will not let you indicate your turn intention and cause accident

  9. The police tell people not to change lanes quickly but when you have most lanes occupied with cars driving at the same speed, sometimes you need to drive like the start of an F1 race. Lane discipline means nothing over here, so it's important to check both mirrors all the time. Also a dashcam has been very helpful in reporting dangerous driving, especially as people become more crazy due to the economy.

  10. Yes, you can make up blanking plates and block everything off. Have a look on eBay, there are blanking kits available for a lot of cars, search EGR delete and your particular model. The EML might come on but any good tuning shop will be able to edit the ECU and take the EGR out of the main program.

  11. I think its going to kick some serious ass in the desert, doesn't even need lockers as all 4 wheels have independent motors So you have "locked diffs" at all speeds and with that much power! And its priced pretty cheap if compared to similar regular luxury vehicles. $65,000, thats mid spec Land Cruiser money With a 600 plus km range pretty good for a fun day of bashing about in the desert, Other than the front end love the styling in and out. I've been following Rivian for a while now and have become somewhat of a fan Can't you see I've already converted ! lol I was just saying thank gof for EFI in the sense that we didn't have to deal with carbs all this time. Even worse offroad. Had an old ass 4x4 when stopped or driven slow at any angle other than level flat for any length of time would sputter and die. The gas would fall out of the bowl

  12. I’ve got nothing again electric cars, I love the noise of a carb sucking air and an exhaust blowing it back out again but 14,000 nm of torque is nothing to be sniffed at. We’re almost approaching top fuel here. Like it or not, electric will eventually overtake ICE.

  13. With so much power it can climb Moreeb on two wheels quietly. Have I said "quietly" oh no what will happen to all doof doof fun to tell ppl im climbing. Maybe like an internal speaker of car drone noise, electric will come in future with external loudspeakers to replicate V8 and V12 rumble notes.

  15. +1 at 0:08 sec the front left wheel is already started to lift. Probably too fast for the angle.

  16. Seems like that driver wants to avoid that guy in front by going a little right and then entered the slip face and then while steering left and up he fought the gravity on soft patch resulting in a flip. However, the driver reaction after the flip tells another story: Either he is too happy to be alive Or did it on purpose (i doubt) Anyways lesson for bystanders that never come in between the path when someone is doing sideys (side sloping) as you never know what counter-action driver take in a spur of the moment which may result in a hazardous outcome.

  18. It would be worth checking out the clutch too and changing it if it’s worn. Easier and cheaper to do when the engine is already out rather than pay someone to remove the gearbox to do it later on.

  19. Pajero runs both fog lights off one fuse. It’s either a break in the wiring somewhere or a corroded plug, probably the latter. The lazy way is just to run a bit of 2 core wire across from the working one but we like to do things right round here 😂

  20. If you want I can take a look at it for you and tell you if it actually needs replacing or not.

  21. Car engine doesn't have any specific life expectancy. People can destroy engine in 30K kms by not doing oil change or maintenance and also run million km mark by following regular maintenance. Like desertdude I also have 17 year old Pajero with 180k kms and it's still doing great. Maybe you have been victim of fake mechanic or fake prescription like many of us have been in the past. It's always good to make few attempt to find a good and reasonable workshop with some level of honesty. As a simple rule of thumb, always take three opinion and estimates for any car problem and go with the one that sound more competent and economical.
