  1. A woman is cooking eggs in the kitchen. Suddenly the husband runs in and starts screaming, “Oh my god oh my god! Put some more butter in them!” Wife is startled by husbands reaction and runs to the fridge to get more butter. “Oh my god you’re cooking too many at once! Turn them now! QUICK QUICK TURN THEM!” Wife, concerned about her husbands mental state forgets the butter and starts to turn the eggs. “BUTTER! BUTTER! WE NEED BUTTER! THEY ARE GOING TO STICK TO THE PAN! QUICK!” Wife runs back to the fridge. “CAREFUL ABOUT THE EGGS! YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME WHEN YOURE COOKING!!! TURN THEM QUICK! YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO COOK? ARE YOU CRAZY?” Wife starts crying. She is confused and has no idea what to do. “What is wrong with you? I know how to cook” Husband smiles and replies “I know, I just you you to see how it feels when I’m driving in the car with you” and walks calmly away.

  2. Haha...then nothing to worry at all...carry a spare engine, shocks and gearbox that's all😀. Just kidding, as @Rahimdad Bhai said, you know best!

  3. Sertac, I had the same feeling with my Prado so I am mostly attending the newbie / fewbie drive. So far I have managed to keep it without incident i.e. My front bumper has made it through! If your Grand Cherokee is not very old then I don't think it should be much of an issue. However, I don't know much about the vehicle so take my advice at your own risk😀. Perhaps @Gaurav Bhai and @Rahimdad Bhai can advise. Also our Carnity brother @Brette has a Grand Cherokee that is new and, with very few modifications, is doing very well.

  4. With all due respect, you think I don't have anything better to do ? If you really want my advice then don't get an Xterra in the first place.

  5. Thank you @Atif bhai for the confidence passed on to @sertac. However he is a senior and knows more about Jeeps than any one of us. With the weather getting better there are less chances of the car heating up, but get it thoroughly checked before coming out to plat @sertac.

  6. Just join on one of the newbie drives @sertac. With your experience, risk of damage on this drive level to a Grand Cherokee should be non-existent.

  7. @sertac, @Atif Gentlemen, come on, Prado and Cherokee are metal, not paperboard.

  10. So how was it ? Have you done the test drive ?

  11. I guess for the avg Joe who doesn't know much about cars it's alright. 9 times out of 10 you can make out from the pictures posted of the car has been in a collision. Mismatched colour body panels, uneven gaps, wavy panels, new lights on one side old on the other. Rest can be checked by yourself when you see it for the mechanical issues. And most mechanics I've seen who "check" cars just get it over with. Would never trust them.

  12. Yes i am a big fan of Carswitch. How cant i. If i find the same car from another place, i have to take it to mechanic, pay for checking it etc. Carswitch already doing it for me. For example if i want to buy a F10 BMW. If there is 15 advertisement. I can easily find the one without accident or mechanical issues. I can take it to my mechanic confirm and buy it. I dont need to check 10 different car to find a clean car. If you are saying it is more expensive than the other places. When i am buying my SLK it was great deal as price. You need to find the right car, than negotiate. As seller i wont use it. I dont need someone else to sell a car.

  14. Well deserved @Shamil bhai. You attitude itself is good enough the deserve this new level. But I have heard good things about you after your comeback. Love your spirit, keep rocking.

  15. Somehow @Frederic is sterling the words from my mind. It took me sitting next to you to realize how gentle you are with your Prado yet get it everywhere. We keep shouting out every time about controlling the throttle on every dune, but people should take a lesson from you on how it's practically done. Congrats @Atif bhai, well done.

  16. Congrats @Brette. Can't say it any better than @Frederic. Those Jeeps are a bit difficult to get used to but you've proved its not impossible. Well done bro, love your attitude.

  17. Not sure he could have crossed, maybe, maybe not. Better here to steer down TMO.

  20. The moment wrangler saw forturner stopped he steared right and applied break and the mother nature (gravity) won the battle. Wrangler had enough momentum to cross the ridge and this mishap would have easily avoided if he had not applied break and continued driving. Other mistake is he should have followed the exact track of fortuner.

  21. Surely everyone can reach, but be very careful while turning down and steer down little early and smoothly (not sharp), as side stuck on wet sand is very difficult to recover and prone for mishaps.

  22. With the amount of rain and forecast of rain, everyone should be able to reach the top of Naqrah Hill.

  24. Looks like you guys had amazing drive. I want to join every week than i am changing my mind. I was so fearless with Cherokee. Now with Grand Cherokee i am so afraid to break it. It is very solid daily so far, i am just too afraid to see it breaks like Cherokee.

  25. With the weather looking up these days, experiencing the chill temperatures, early morning was a great way to start off the day. Added to that, meeting up with a lovely group of like minded off-roaders is just an icing on the cake. @Srikumar assigned me to the sweep position and I had the incredibly rare opportunity of having @Gauravbhai accompany me as a passenger. With this mix, the day just couldn't have been better. I am just about getting acquainted with sweep duties and it is definitely a great way to be a more responsible offroader and watching @Gauravbhai in action was a delightful and educative experience indeed. The banter I shared with @Gaurav bhai was invaluable and i hope we can roll again sometime. All in all, this was yet again, an action packed and fun filled drive to say the least. Ill try and put up a video tonight.

  26. Hi everyone. I must start by seeking apologies wholeheartedly for not being on time It was an excellent event, very well routed by @Srikumar and good to follow. Thoroughly enjoyed it”. It was a pleasant weather and the warmth of desert have given a rejuvenating feel.. The most electrifying part of this event was facing out new challenges. It was amazing to watch vastness and magnificence of desert when the convey runs over the ups and downs of the escalated dunes of sand. And @Gaurav bhai surprised everyone with his masterstroke, it was a unique technique for everyone to learn how to deal if a car got stuck on the dune crest (while the nose is facing downwards). Thank you @Rahimdad bhai for your support and encouragement I would like to offer my congratulations to those who have been promoted to fewbie level.. Thank you everyone.. Hope to see you next time

  28. As always, my experience with Carnity was invaluable. I learned so much from the ever-patient Emmanuel, who was so generous with his time. I always find members of the group are eager to share their knowledge and desert driving wisdom. I also had the opportunity to see what an Xterra was capable of in the hands of an expert. I’d say let’s start an Xterra fan club! Although Jawaher is one of a kind 😉 Rahimdad and Gaurav took advantage of every mishap into a learning opportunity, of which drivers, and passengers like me, benefited! Srikumar chose the area well. It was greatly appreciated that he accommodated all driver levels. As a beginner, I could see the difference between that level and the one with slightly more difficulty that Emmanuel was methodically planning on the go. Great team work! I know those who were involved in the incidents may not have been so enthusiastic, but for me it was a real opportunity to learn, which I relish. Thank you all for the amazing experience, the nice chat and the delicious breakfast! Can’t wait for the next time!

  29. Trip Report - with @Xaf & @Atif bhai write up I'm already feeling this trip report is just a spec in the true expression of this weekend's beautiful drive. The joke of the weekend was as I went to sleep close to 12:30 am I gave task to my daughter to wake me up at 3:30 am. I dreamt that the alarm was ringing which woke me up, I thought I switched off the alarm and headed to my daughter's room to let her know I was up. Her reaction was I thought you asked me to wake you up at 3:30 am, but it's only 3 am now. Was it dream or reality? So confused. I asked her to go to sleep and started getting ready. I was totally undecided about the drive till @Atif bhai generously offered to pick me up and drop me back. I lazily got ready and strolled to the petrol station we were supposed to meet at to see he was already waiting for me. So we made one mote stop for breakfast and we were on our way. Usually I'm very chatty and don't like a silent moment, however enjoyed @Atif bhai's company as he had a few interesting things to say which I could not help but listen. Reached the meeting point, with cold breeze and warm hugs. This was sufficient to get my batteries charged as we moved on to the deflation point. After a quick deflation we had an amazingly energy filled briefing. This ended with the convoy numbering as we headed off to what was going to be an awesome day with amazing people. @Srikumar is having the best time on his side as he cannot keep a foot wrong. There was a huge grin on my face as he took us through some of the most awesome yet manageable dunes. The best thing that happened to me in last 3 year's to miss my Pathy, as it gave me an opportunity to ride along with @Atif bhai who surprised me with his driving style. It was a pleasant surprise to see the ease with which he managed each dune never really making his Prado scream even in the difficult patches. He later confirmed that he never put the pedal to the metal, just enough gas to go through every dune. It was a long convoy of 15 cars and at times the front of the convoy would cross the rear as we went sealing a way to head forward with the entire convoy. @Emmanuel was just making his own path to add a little excitement for the more experienced drivers but the idea was to keep with the convoy. @Shamil had @Gaurav bhai as his co-driver and waiting for that story and their experiences to be shared. Special mention to @Halit Mert Issever who was driving very close to us in the convoy. He had a ear to ear smile and was really testing out his ride to the maximum. From what I was able to see he was enjoying the most among all of us. Thanks for getting long Divya, she had an amazing amount of positive energy and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. Another mention to @adildbx who showed improvement over his last 2 drives and speaking to him at the end I realized it was due to coming out of the shell he had closed himself in. Another interesting read would be the experience of @Jamy B. riding with @Emmanuel. The true adventurers soul in @Jamy B. means she is looking for a ride and we wish her all the best. I have heard so much about @Xaf and how he flies his Land Cruiser with precision, I would like to join him as a passenger any day. We had a couple of situations which gave us all an opportunity to learn, I hope everybody on the drive took some lesson from both situations. I would like to thank @Mohammed Yaasir for allowing me a couple of sessions with his FJ, it is a beautiful machine and a pleasure to drive. Continue to learn and explore, but remember to do it one step at a time. We ended to drive at the meeting point, after inflation we had a nice tea/coffee and snacks. @Xaf the pancakes I got are called Aloo Paratha or Potato embedded bread. I have updated my pics in the Gallery, looking forward to many more drives with you all.

  36. Despite that the alarm went off to disturb my nice deep sleep and pulling me out of my warm comfy bed, I'm glad that I went today. The highlights of today: Thank you @Srikumar to lead the drive and @Emmanuel to split the drive and make it a bit more challenging for the people that were driving behind him. @Gaurav demonstrated how to shovel correct, very informative. I drive regular with friends during the week, when some of us get stuck, the first tool we grab to, is the rope. I doubt if one of my friends knows how to shovel correctly, instead of just displacing sand. This is a great example how valuable a driving club is. This will be luggage I'll take with me for the rest of my life. (And yes, I am one of those that goes alone to the....🤐) He also demonstrated how to fix a popped tire. Good to see the importance to carry the correct tools and the knowledge of your own car. This got me thinking, if it will happen to me, where I should jack my car. (opening my user manual 🧐) Not to forget @Shamil, the backup bone of the drive. And last but not least, @Rahimdad. He didn't participate with his own car, but treated us with his pancakes. What is the name of the recipe? Unfortunately I had this time no one next to me to make pictures of the drive, and I was too lazy to mount my gro-pro. Next time again. @Halit Mert IsseverLooking forward to your new Go Pro footage! See you in two weeks.
