  1. 2050. Although you never know! The first Rambo movie came out 38 years ago! And we just had another Rambo in 2019. While 2050 is only 30 years away! So there is very much a possibility of a Fast n Furious 50 in 2050! Now that's a scary thought if there ever was one! P.S : Dont think it will be as exciting though. With Dom stealing a classic car. A Tesla roadster! And halfway through the chase the battery would die.

  3. Time and time again, we keep on repeating this to every new and old offroader to never venture in desert alone. Here's the latest news unfolded by Khaleej Times that Emirati man has been rescued yesterday after 3 days. From the picture it looks Jeep Wrangler TJ, which is fairly capable 4x4, but disaster strike when you are least prepared. I wish KT must have shared more information on the incident whether Jeep (not SUV) broke down due to stuck, accident or mechanical failure. And whether he was alone or left behind or something else.....! https://www.khaleejtimes.com/region/oman/emirati-man-stranded-in-desert-for-3-days

  4. I dunno about being able to repair it. You can start by checking the fuel filter also to see if it's clogged. As for the mesh it's not worth the hassle to open the tank, clean it out it back and then see if it makes a difference. My theory is while you are in someplace difficult to get to. Might as well change everything, unless you just replaced it. Example: if you are opening the transmission to change the clutch plate might as well change the pressure plate as well as release bearings. Instead of 6 months or a year down the line you realize you have to bring the transmission again to change the bearing. Whole your are at it get it done.

  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-51366123 The UK goverment has brought forward its decision to ban new petrol or diesel cars from 2040 to 2035. That might seem a long way away, but that's just 15 years (the age of my current ride!). After that date ... who knows. All electric? Self driving? Looks like we should all enjoy the roar of a V8 while we still can, they are going to be a real rarity in a few years. Petrol Heads beware - no more gas after 2035

  9. The fact that it was said by Boris Johnson sort of makes it meaningless as most of what he says he makes up on the spur of the moment, but I wonder if as petrol heads we will be a dying breed ...

  10. Well you can't makes laws hoping that technology catches on and is cheap enough for everyone in the future. Might as well make a law that by 2050 there will only be flying cars

  16. Intricate suspence filled plot. Detailed character development. Car chases. Off road extravaganza. Yes, it's probably got one of that, but still looks like fun.

  17. Hi Colin, Yes the Ram1500 will be totally fine for a newbie drive. The Maliha area has relatively long dunes so that should be no issue. Looking forward to that roar !

  20. Hi guys, I was meant to go to dragon mart to buy my radio, flag and air compressor. Due to the virus, my wife and mates insist I should avoid going to dragon mart( I know is sad but better safe than sorry). Is it okay if I could borrow a radio this time please? Thank you, Denver

  22. I don't agree completely. By making laws you're basically putting a deadline on it. Some things never change if we are not forced too change. These deadlines ignites creative thinking. Humanity is able to do so many things but sometimes we lack the motivation.

  23. On my XJ, for the past 3 years my fuel pump was always on the weaker side as the engine would fire only on the second crank and never on the first one. However it never was on top priority as the car was performing well. But over the past several months I have found the car to be increasingly sluggish. Recently, when I checked I found that the fuel pressure was dropping to about 40 psi as the RPM was being increased to beyond 3500. As per spec, the fuel pressure should be 49 psi. My questions are : 1. Is such a drop in pressure normal? Does it warrant a change of pump? 2.The original Mopar complete module costs about AED 1450 + vat. I have seen some good reviews of Bosch and Carter but not 100% sure. Any feedback or suggestions?

  24. Would you know if the check valve can be fixed or the whole unit needs to be replaced. Also would a bad check valve result in power loss at higher rpm, or does that issue point towards a clogged mesh.

  25. I used mopar and it performed perfectly after. Now with this car i will change the filter first to see if any clogging issue causing that problem. If filter wont solve it i will go with the Bosch or any other brand. Mopar one is expensive.

  26. If after 10-20 minutes after switching off the car the fuel pressure falls dramatically then your check valve is toast. And also if your pump is excessively noisy then it means it's also about to die. That is if you can hear a distinct buzzing from it after you turn it on without starting the car. Also the mesh as mentioned specially for desert cars get very Sandy and clogged up.

  27. I suspect that as well, but the car starting in second crank does indicate the check valve, and I am not sure who has the expertise to replace that part. @sertac did you change it with Mopar or any other brand?

  28. I changed on my old Cherokee and now on my Grand Cherokee also fuel pump is weak. When the fuel level lower than quarter when i am turning right if i give gas it is losing power. I start thinking fuel pump one of the weakest point of these cars.

  29. Hey Buddy, I just checked on some Jeep forums and indeed they speak about 48psi with 5psi plus or minus being acceptable. The issue could be related to the check valve: https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/looking-specific-fuel-pressure-readings-01-4-0l-632854/ I remember removing my fuel pump once and noticed that there was a small filter mesh bag on the suction side that was slightly clogged. I cleaned it up but did not notice anything different. Maybe your pump has a similar filter mesh and could be more clogged ? In that case that could explain the lower pressure.

It worked well on the first drive, but just in case got a shovel for the new adventures. 😀Also bought a radio, but have to set it up to the correct frequency that we are using. Cheers!
