  1. Thank you @Gaurav and all for your continuous support and encouragement during the past 6 months. It was a great learning curve, initiated by @Emmanuel and @Ale Vallecchi. I’ve really appreciated the patient guidance from marshals, leads and support team that allowed me to build confidence and discover this exciting activity. And it is only the beginning !! Special thanks to @Islam Soliman, having lead almost 1/3 of my drives, always searching for new challenges, never hesitating to take a full convoy in tricky technical areas, @Kailasfor the initiation to the night drives, and the always intense and fluid routes, @Lorenzo Candelpergherfor the high climbs and breathtaking bowls, and to my FJ fellows @Chris Wing, @Hisham Masaad, @Niki, @PaoloMaraziti And to all the others, it is always a pleasure to meet and share experiences with the regulars and new faces. See you soon on the sand !

That's now over and bot, are we going to make use of these new freedoms. Expect a well paced roller coaster drive. Lots of swooping dunes, bowls (small and large) pyramid dunes and of course, just a little technical. See you soon in the sand.

  6. Never imagined the drive is going to be this exciting! Thank you @Chaitanya Dand @@Islam Soliman, your guidance was amazing. The way you took us in graded challenges was impressive, it helped me to build confidence.. My co-newbie drivers weren't looking new on sand . They did very well .. Starting to fall in love with the desert, the calmness it instilled in me cannot be explained in words. Looking forward to do many more drives in various challenging routes with this amazing group. Thanks again...

  9. @Richard Franks @Bernard Kalaani @Darren Brooke @Kenneth Bollhardt @Miguel Codes @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ @Adhir Saxena thank you all for joining the fun and letting me explore an area I haven't led in. After getting stuck and making sure you were all having a workout, we got going in the nice but odd shaped dunes. The sand was extremely soft and we did some nice technical dunes as well. I think you all coped well and apart from a few refusals and reattempts we got to the gas line bypass halfway through the drive. After the bypass we found some dunes that were a little more suitable for ridge riding and crisscrossing. We were blessed with a few cars with winches, and boy did we need them in the end. Quite an incredible stuck and recovery 500 meters from the exit. Should never have thought we would exit a little early, that is when the dessert pulls you back in. Great teamwork, nice short convoy and a little bit of everything. I enjoyed it. Thank you @Richard Franks for a perfect second lead, thank you @Darren Brooke for dealing with the refusals and recoveries in the back. Thanks @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ for taking over the center forward role. And a special mention for @Miguel Codes : thank you for the great help especially with the epic recovery in the end. It was very nice to see you all.

  11. Drive Report: Always a pleasure to welcome new members into this amazing club - and considering the few sign ups and a smallish convoy I was sure we were going to have a fantastic time out there. All members arrived on time which was great to see, their enthusiasm was visible. @Shynil Hashimhad to drop out few min into the drive and @Praveen Raj Rajan had to go back after prepping for the drive - sad to see this, but I would advise you to get your car checked thoroughly for any faulty wiring , all the tire valves checked and specifically look if they are rusted . Your right rear wheel lug nuts were cold welded making them impossible to remove, which needs to be sorted too - do check the nuts on all 4 tires . I am sorry I am specifically listing all, so that you cross verify all there with your garage. I/we want you to come with a car which is fit to take out into the sands for your and everyone's safety. @Bharath Rao driving for the first time, in his awesome FJ was a bit shy initially but as the drive progressed he was super confident. Few very nice self recoveries, playing with the 4-L , Diff lock and A trac . You have a fantastic machine buddy to enjoy all the drives as you progress. @Juzer Talib was the driver for the day. Driving a Koleos , I was expecting few issues to happen. But as I slowly bumped up the challenges, and as everyone was getting in sync with their cars responsiveness it was delightful to watch how you managed your car considering the slightly lower bumpers. Do share your videos if any. @Prakash Anoop managed his wrangler well. Initially was a bit foot heavy, but as the drive progressed he found his balance right. You made those dune crossings look an easy task considering you were driving for first time. Wrangler is a great car to explore and learn further. All of you did well, considering all were driving for the first time on sands. Different cars but all managed well. Special thanks to @Islam Soliman for supporting this drive, some valuable inputs at briefing and advises for recovery.
