  1. @Nathan L well done You will find a lot of pajero lovers here . Some have a love hate relationship😜 It is the driver which matters most and not the car . Enjoy your drives πŸ‘

  2. Hi @Nathan L, welcome to a family-like community. I am sure you have felt the warm welcome from the start and this will will continue throughout your journey in @Carnity. As a proud Pajero owner, rest assured that it is an unstoppable car. I am no expert driver (Yet) but I have been enjoying the journey to date. One piece of advice I can give you is it’s always 20% car and 80% skills, regardless of what car you drive. Make sure you pick the brains of every single lead in every drive, listen, watch and enjoy your journey as you grow week after week. Welcome on board!

  3. We had a good drive today, throughly enjoyed it, didn't stop very often, covered as much ground as possible, had a full show, was treated to a pleasant experience, and everyone drove safely and efficiently. @Fabien Monleau being CF well instructed to help the convey back in position, @Gaurav Soni as a sweep today nice to see you again, @Ale Vallecchi as a specialist in ridge riding being good learning experience,

  8. Hi all, Nathan here. new to carnity and to the dunes, have done a few drives now with the club as a newbie and having a blast. have a bit of experience off road but mostly mud/rock and winch work, most of my sand experience has been on the sand island in Australia. Very different to our desert here. I have picked up a old abused SWB Pajero that I am slowly fixing up, hopefully it will become a capable and reliable drive. thanks for having me in the club, been great so far and looking forward to picking up new skills with you all on the dunes. cheers, Nathan

  9. Pajero's inherently are delicate darling in my view but def capable in the right hands. If you thrash you pay, simple. Not as forgiving as Toyota and Nissan.

  10. Welcome @Nathan Land glad to have you on board. Have had quite a few drives with you and you have done extremely well from the very first one. Like the others have said, the SWB Pajero is quite capable and you handle it really well too. Welcome again and thanks for the additional help on the drives with the shovel and also when we had to remove the lower fascia on the lexus recently. See you in the sand pit soon.

  11. Hi Nathan, welcome to Carnity. I am driving a LWB stock Pajero and I am loving my Big Blue ! You made a good choice with the car, they are very reliable and once you get to really know your car you can do anything with it, even making it to Marshal like I did 😁 Good luck and I hope to see you soon in one of my drives πŸ˜‰

  12. Hi @Nathan L Fantastic choice , with both the C's, First is @Carnity and second is the Car! 😎, You have many here who can give you a lot of inputs on how fantastic Pajeros are! I have done my first drive with @Vanessa8580 in her Pajero, and followed by that with @Gaurav and quite a few drives FB and above with @Gaurav Soni with their respective pajeros😎😁! So going by this, am sure u will be soon leading the convoy, matter of time;) See you soon in sand✌️🀘🏽!

  13. Hi @Nathan L thanks for the great introduction ! We met on our last scenic drive. You’ve got yourself a nice Pajero there. They are so much fun and extremely reliable if you give them some love. Looking forward to driving and socializing together the coming winter ! See you soon in the sand !

  14. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for the most exhilarating drive! It was fast faced non-stop action and fun - we drove 65km in the desert - inspite of a pop-out and the usual refusals, stucks etc! We rode all the ridges; the lines through the successive large bowls in the tall dunes were just amazing - pure adrenaline rush. The pace and the lines ensured that we were 100% focussed on the driving which increased the enjoyment! Eagerly waiting for you next afternoon drive!

  31. In case one cannot find a 2010+ model for Dual VVTi , for 7000dhs you can get original Toyota Racing Development superchargers that are available for Single VVTi... then the Single VVTi will beat both HP and Torque of the Dual VVTi πŸ˜„ I've seen it reaches 580hp for 1GR-FE Single VVTi on Supercharger πŸ”₯ Food for thought for the Prado owners here...

  44. Definitely, I have had many landcruisers before this and they stood up to abuse a lot better. This one is good but the previous owner abused it and now I am paying for it 😫. But will get there. Today was swaybar links replacement and found he did not put the lock nuts on the drive axles so the shafts where loose in the hubs 😳 🀣
