  1. @Benjamin @Marcin Wronowski @Murad Hamed @Jaro Tuzinsky @Mike. @TT_Dubai @Joseph Sebastian @Jonny90 @Harshal @Fabien Monleau thank you all for joining today's drive. It was an eventful drive from the time we started with the sand being wet on the surface and extremely soft a few inches below. For most of you it was probably the first time driving on a surface like that and for the most part you all coped really well. @Fabien MonleauI can't thank you enough for all the help with the 5 pop outs we had. It was a masterclass on fixing pop outs for those who were around helping. @TT_DubaiThanks for keeping an eye on the convoy and for the help on refusals in the middle. @Murad Hamedit was unfortunate what happened and really glad you came out of it unhurt. For those who were on the side it happened, the 10 seconds of seeing the car roll felt like an eternity. Please get yourself checked again if you feel any pain and let me know if I can be of any help. Hope everything goes well with the insurance too. Thanks to everyone for the help and patience today. I hope this unfortunate incident explains why every lead stresses on certain things during the briefing. The desert is unpredictable and a lapse in judgement or concentration for a split second can have dire consequences. Special shout out to @Benjaminfor staying till the end and even dropping Murad back home. Truly appreciated buddy. Thank you. You did really well in the second lead position as well, just what was need. Well done . Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you'll in the sand soon.

  2. Thank you all for joining the drive. All made it almost on time, and got ready for a quick brief. Immediately started our adventure climbing dunes next to the meeting point, and moved through Techincal area to reach the next group of amazing dunes, to start again climbing, till we had the first and only situation, where @Ranjan Das car decided not to continue, and stopped. Waited for sometime trying to run the car, but failed. Decision made then to pull the car out, and could not refuse the offer of @Karthik Raptor to handle this challenge, and was really successful. Big thanks to Karthik for a big and appreciated valuable help. Another big thanks and appreciation for our marshal @Islam Solimanfor joint the drive and the support and guidance through out the drive and pulling out the car. @Imteeaz amazing SL, specially first time in this area, and second IM drive. You did very well, and encouraged me to push the level. Thank you all for offering the support and guidance to get out safely. At the end all left the drive with a smile, best wishes, promises and hopes to meet again. Well done @Sunil Mathew @Simon Dawood @MMansoor @ASAD. @Vaibhav @Mohamad Anwer and @Waqas Parvez. Wish you a nice weekend, and good week ahead. Regards

  3. Hi @Brette thank you for organising todays drive. Your leadership skills were put to the test today, for what should have been a relatively straightforward drive, it was anything but that! @Murad Hamed you handled the situation so well. All that matters is that you are ok. I know as the dust settles you will be extremely upset, but just remember your going home to your family! @Fabien Monleau your support was the best yet. 5 x pop outs fixed in double quick time. @Brette, there is a reason I look for your drives, today was a master class in staying calm….legend! @Benjamin, well done mate! Really impressed on the last 2 drives we’ve been on! Take care guys - Jonny

  4. @Fabien Monleau @TT_Dubai thanks a lot for today! Fabien next time I’m thinking of recording your times of handling a pop out because you were almost at Formula one level with Pit Stop execution precision. Thanks again! @Brettealmost everyone can hoist a sail in calm waters. It takes real leadership to sail in stormy weather. With 5 pop outs and the unfortunate event at the end, you made everyone feel that you were not even breaking a sweat. For someone who is “relatively new” to this sport, it makes a difference and I am sure the same applies for everyone else in the convoy. @Murad Hamed so sorry to see what happened to you today but most important is you came out without a scratch which is what REALLY matters. You have nerves of steel man to handle it the way you did. I hope to see you again on the sand soon!

  6. @Ranjan DasHopefully your car problem is a minor one. Since wranglers are known for their dependability and yours was specifically maintained by trading enterprises, it was unexpected. @Hisham Masaadreload had never been reloaded with back-to-back breakdowns, so we need to figure out the code and finish the drive successfully 😀

  8. @Brette Thank you for the great drive today. I managed to learn the importance of gravity seeing it first hand along with this I improved upon many skills watching how you were tackling the Desert dunes, Thanks for the offer to ride passenger back into the desert, that was a technical experience on it's own. along with the chance of being 2nd Lead. anytime there is a issue in the desert or on road let me know I will always help anyway I can. Hope to see you back out on the trail soon. @Murad Hamed I hope your feeling well mate. glad you managed to escape without any bad injuries and I hope to see you back on the sand soon! if there is any issues I don't live far away if you need a hand. hope everything goes well with the insurance.

  9. @Rizwanm2 Thanks you for the pleasant drive that I enjoyed and found lovely today, during the beginning of the journey, the convey went through a bit of a difficult surface because of the rain, which caused the sand to settle. Specifically, the tail of the convey went through a muddy terrain, which was a new experience for me today. However, once we reached the solar park, the sand returned to its normal consistency, and the journey became significantly more enjoyable. @Gaurav Soni thanks for some added fun with extra side slopping, ridge ridding, at last, excellent tug to pull out from stuck, @Haitham Khattab driven well as SL. @Gregory as CF given clear instructions for recoveries,

  10. Thank you so much @Rizwanm2 for the great drive today. Faqa is such a beautiful area with a magnificent scenery. I really enjoyed it and thanks for the second lead opportunity. The drive was unique with a unexpected damp sand on the start, followed by exciting side sloping & ridge riding, ending with Technical dunes & speed run on Sabkhas. Thanks @Gregory for the great support in the center and all the tugs, @Senthil Kumar for sweeping and clear communication and @GauravSoniwho Orchestrated Stucks/Refusals for the convoy (aka Angel of the Trip😉). Shout out to all convoy Friends, you all drove very well today, happy to see you and looking forward to drive again with you soon. Added some pics in the gallery.

  13. @Murad Hamed it was nice to meet you today and you displayed great spirits despite what happened. You remained calm and composed. You are safe and sound which is the main thing. As all drivers mentioned we hope and wish everything gets resolved soon and that all is well. @Brette as Mike mentioned the immediate mobilisation to recover the Pajero and exit was all executed with precision. Thank you. I love Badayer and I have been in various drives but I have never seen the sand conditions like what we had this morning. Everyone coped really well. @Fabien Monleau great proactive support from the back. I love sweeping as you can normally have a chilled ride and explore different lines but that was certainly not the case for you today! Thank you for all your help!

  14. Drive Report What a wonderful morning today to start with , non foggy cool breezy golden hour and an almost ready convoy to move by the time i arrived to the meeting point and it was just 05:45 am. This showed the passion and enthusiasm you brought along and reflected later in the drive till the end. Very much appreciated 🙏. After greeting , checking and briefing each one was ready to move to what turned out to be just one of my best enjoyable lovely drives lately. Starting slowly for every one to get accustomed with his vehicle on the sand and along the way to the first set of the long range dunes we took the track connecting the three individual lakes together. Now being there on the flat facing the first tall enough dune we lined up to practice safely the low to medium height dune side sloping and then how to cross the dune in straight up/down fashion. First it was done one by one then we continued to do it while the whole convoy in motion. Guys you were truly impressive. By then you caught the rhythm so the drive continued till we had our first proper break at Riche’s bar. The convoy good response encouraged us to go more further to get up to the crescent lake boundary and even beyond crossing the cycle track safely more further where we could have a closer look at the rock formation peculiar to this area from Qudra desert. From that point and back to the end was our way back with slightly faster pace and we got the chance to practice more what we have learned earlier and it was just epic. Throughout the whole drive we encountered couple of refusals and crests which is part of the game and learning we all did together. learning points to remember speed and momentum are not synonyms. The first will fly you off the ridge if fast or get you crested if slow where the later will carry you no matter your vehicle weight is if appropriate ✔️ deflation is the king of off-roading especially on sand . The flatter is your tire the wider is your tire foot print and the lesser you will dig yourself in the sand and the easier luckily you will Crowl and self recover ✔️ Communication is the best tool to keep you moving and avoiding unnecessary complications. ✔️ Always remember never fight gravity because Mother Nature will always win instead take her by your side and make her your best friend ✔️ the more we practice the more learn it better than ever . .. so let’s keep practice and rolling together ✔️ last but not the least I would like to thank you all Lukas @Lukas premindra rajaram @premindra rajaram Sayed Bilal @Sayed Bilal Khyber @Khyber Sandeep Padhi @Sandeep Padhi Brett E @Brett E Suneedh Wrangler @Suneedh Wrangler Mark Birch @Mark Birch Saleh Kuba @Saleh Kuba for coming and sharing the passion together as well as I would like to thank @Looper in the middle of the convoy and @Davie Chase at the rear for assisting the whole convoy to be in motion and for their valuable instructions , guidance and help when needed. .. yes how can I forget @Nathan L you played the game as second lead truly flawless today in response and communication when needed thank my friend . Till we meet once more take care Cheers Seidam
