  2. Thank you @GauravSoni for the very fun, fast-paced drive. It was great to cover many areas of the UAE dessert, including Badayer and Big Red which are definitely some of my favourite areas to drive in (and also great for keeping adrenaline levels up!!!) As always, thank you to @Haitham Khattab for another great SL and to @salah2u for his support in the sweep position. Many thanks to @Simon Dawood as well for his great support as the CF which definitely kept the pace of the drive up. @Yusuf Esaf, I’m happy to hear that your car is fine and ready to hit the dunes again! @Sam K @Tareq Al Turq @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar great to see you all again Always a pleasure to drive with all of you guys and looking forward to our next drive together!

  3. @GauravSoniIt was an amazing fast paced, adrenaline filled drive. @Simon DawoodYou have been very supportive and patient throughout the drive. @Haitham Khattab @Sam K @Ignacio Quindós @Tareq Al Turq @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar @salah2u it was amazing knowing you guys. When my car jumped, my right lower arm was bent which got the tyres completely off alignment. Luckily it didnot break. I had to drive back at a speed of 40km/hr on a road of 140😀. Took me ages to reach back. Car is completely fine and all set to test the limits again.

  4. First of all thank you very much @varunmehndiratta for an excellent drive. It was slightly foggy morning on that Sunday and after a few long range dunes we ventured into an extremely technical area and obviously it quickly followed by a stuck situation. We recovered from it and played a little more in the long range dunes of Faqa again and ventured towards Little Sweihan in the Sabkha, briefly touching triple digit speeds. We saw some military training being done. They came to us to advise us not to venture into their target range - of course we were not going to. This is something I love here in UAE - you can be free of worry when you see the uniform, and they treat you with respect and humility. After a quick break we started to play in the main play area of the drive. There were many changes to the convoy everyone getting a taste of all the places. At one time when the 2nd lead and the 3rd position were both mighty Patrols - the track behind them was churned to be powered. Good when you have to ride the ridges but a nightmare when doing side slops. Few more stucks and refusals and another long Sabhkha run to end the drive. I would call it an Fewbie ++ if not an Intermediate level drive. Its just the terrain - the general area of Little Sweihan - irrespective how you look at it, it is always going to be challenging. It was nice to see @Niki after a long time. As is your motto is to shovel, I was definitely not going to do any shovelling on the day. I did bring my shovel out few times - but more for show than to actually shovel to be frank. Great support by you @Imteeaz, it is becoming incrementally helpful to be you around the drive to see you guide on the refusals and seek support for the convoy members. @MMansoor when you are around, you are rostered to all the recoveries, and it was no different. Great to drive with you. @salah2u you take full advantage of your Patrol, in the desert. The sheer power of the beast means that you just bulldoze over obstacles. It was nice to see you in the back and in the front of me. @Mahmoud Taha you were obviously thought it was Fewbie Plus drive, didn't you. I trust you had good learning experience. It is going to be a constant planning on each and every meter how you going to approach the line and what angle you are going to attack the track. Till we see each other next time.

  9. Hello Brette, Looking forward to the drive on Saturday 😀 . This is going to be my first drive with Carnity. I have some prior offroad experience (not in an organized club) over the past years of living in the UAE. However, this will be the first time taking my new car, a black Wrangler Rubicon 4dr, into the desert. I can confirm that I have of all recovery/safety equipments required such as stock recovery hooks rear and front, 9m kinetic rope, 4 soft schackles, hooks balancing strap, strap recoil dampner, offroad flag, integrated air compressor, walkie talkie, jack stablizer board, quick deflator, valve core tool plus spare, and a pressure gauge. As this is going to be my first drive, is it okay to have someone else with me on the drive, or is it strictly solo? I am very excited about this new experience and meeting everyone on the drive. Thanks

  10. Thanks @GauravSoni for the thrilling adventure you have took us through, after warming up our engines and selfs we stoped for a few minutes to enjoye the sun rise, before we roared our engines all the way to badayer . As we had to cut it a bit short due to some unfortunate incidents of closed fences and a few refusals and a broken lower arm bush of @Yusuf Esafcar. But other than that everyone drive amazingly well. Thanks@Haitham Khattab @Sam K @Ignacio Quindós @Tareq Al Turq @Simon Dawood @Yusuf Esaf @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar @salah2 for the fun company. I just have a few points to remind you of ( including myself ) and i hope everyone accept them with a welcoming heart. even the best of us sometimes needs to be reminded sometimes. 1. Following Radio communication protocols is extremely important . a. If you have a refusal or stuck situation immidiatly after ensuring your car have stopped and you are safe, announce your situation , name , position number.( preferably 2 times) . b. When you hear on the radio that soneone is having a stuck or a refusal, please stop immediately (safely)as you never know where did the car with the situation have stopped. 2. When someone is trying to recover himself or the marshal and or cf is moving please hold position and dont move unless you have been asked to, some really bad accidents might happen . Thanks again and looking forward to see you all again in the sand soon . @Yusuf Esaf i hope your car is fixed and ready for the next adventure 😉

  11. Dear Friends Hello and welcome to Sweihan drives II . Along Al taf road E16 and further south will be our start point but this time we will head east toward the rising sun ☀️ . The plan is to cross Sweihan from west to east direction ending up somewhere at E95 Nahel road. We can expect all kind of stuff along from medium to large dunes and in a time it can get very massive ( leaving Nagara and old lady dune for part III 🤫)😄 . Sand is always soft to super soft which entails to keep the momentum running appropriately to get through it . Possibly we might get to relax for some time at ghafeten bowl before it gets technical afterwords till we catch the track to exit . please check on your cars and gears in advance as we still have time . Stay tuned for further info Good day Seidam

  16. yes depending on previous drives and mechanic's level of inspection, usually when climbing the rear bumpers come off first, then the mudguards, then the fender liners... if it still struggles to climb i'll just press the remote "Open Tailgate door" button to unload the ARB compressor, jacks and anything heavy left in the trunk 😂

  17. Lots of good stuff has been said here for the unfortunate event, but Team @Carnity has become matured. Other clubs would stay silent, leading to ill-speaks and untrue gossips to linger, instead of accepting fate and sharing lessons learned. Dr. @M.Seidam has shown great leadership during the unprepared circumstance. As a member of the convoy and the car behind the unfortunate LC70, I can confirm there is no marshal fault nor anyone's here. It may not be obvious at first, but these kind of events actually remind us how we are loved, by God, family and friends, for we are still alive even though we play this sport every week. Below video of me 1-year ago is a very similar unfolding of moments leading to the incident. It still gives me goosebumps of how fast fun can turn into panic. In the end, I can only prostate and thank God I'm still alive. PS: Glad I can help pulling the truck since I wanted to help but not sure how. Even I was chased out by @Hisham Masaad but the LC strangely got lost and exited at the same time the 2nd convoy exited to talk to the truck 😂 sometimes fate does give you a smile.
