  1. Dear Friends, What an amazing day it was !! These full day drives are really what we are preparing for with our "normal" drives during the year. One of these days where all what we learned and practiced become used "for real". Going deep inside the desert far from any road, power line, farm or any other sign of civilisation. Navigating through these untouched dunes, experiencing this feeling of immensity, knowing that we have to find our way by ourselves, crossing the obstacles one after the other. We also experienced that we were progressing as a team, knowing that we could support each other, and that together we had the capability cross this environment, find solutions to solve any difficult or blocking situation. And we were rewarded, of course reaching the famous yellow truck, which was the target of the day, but also these thrilling bowls of oversized dimensions, these steep slip faces, where our cars were barely leaving a scar at the surface of the sand, these amazing sceneries, discovering from the top of a ridge some dark rocky formations or a dense palm tree oasis. Thank you for your pictures in the gallery where you have captured some of these moments. @Haitham Khattab, big thank you for the quality of your assistance as second lead, avoiding to the situations where I was stuck, and pulling me out when needed. And in addition, beautiful driving and communicative enthusiasm from your copilot! @Sunil Mathew, excellent driving, being careful at the beginning in the bowls, and gaining confidence through the drive. I'm sure you totally enjoyed the last ones. @Rob S thank you for your precious support, always ready with your shovel, and also skillfully rerouting the second part of the convoy in the tricky technical patches. @Tom B maneuvering your heavy car in the super soft sand, and pushing it high in the bowls was a challenge, you went through with a great skill. @Gok Krish you could enjoy the first part, and I can't imagine how frustrating it was to have to leave the convoy in the middle. Despite this you didn't loose your happy mood and big smile. And you managed your way out in a very reasonable manner. Hopefully you will have another opportunity to complete the drive very soon. @Santoso Marjuki, your blue jeep was passing through any obstacle and climbing any face. Keep an eye on your fishtailing for a better and safer control. @Imteeaz beautiful drive, always in control and accurate in your lines @Mario Cornejo big thank you for the reliable sweep. and watching the white Patrol high in the big faces was a bliss ! It was a pleasure also to meet the other convoys of @Chaitanya D with @M.Seidam and @Asif Hussain, and to know that they could also reach the Yellow Truck and exit without major issue. @Asif Hussain, it was a pleasure to meet you, and big thank you for the assistance for exiting @Gok Krish. Looking forward to the next full day adventure !

  2. 365 days of wait. 30+ days of lively planning and contributions by more than 25 Team Carnity members, under leadership of @Gaurav @Srikumar and @Frederic, to make this exploration safe and special. 3hours of drive from Dubai. And eventually a drive (rather an experience) worthy of all above and much more. All explorations/journeys eventually reach the final point and end, what’s left are the memories, and If companionship is good, these memories are etched on the lovely sections of brain and heart for ever. Thanks all for making this YT drive a wonderful memory to cherish forever. Thanks @Chaitanya D for leading us through this beautiful terrain. Your calm and smile made it easier for us all. @M.Seidam every time we drive togather, you amaze me with your energy and management of recoveries. @Waqas Parvez @Vaibhav @ASAD. @Karthik Raptor your energy and camardarie kept the convoy togather and lively throughout. @Jaro Tuzinsky thanks for lovely aerial shots, nicely captured the magnificent Liwa. @Patrick van der Loo @Richard Franks @Bjoern @Senthil Kumar @Pascal thanks for being there and making it an amazing day out on dunes of liwa.

  3. Very well said @Davie Chase.. it was a fantastic day very well spent.. total driving of around 18 hours and covering around 700km with 150 on these amazing dunes. Prompt alerted 2nd lead of @Zixuan Huang - Charlie and having @Ranjan Das and you @Davie Chase at the back made me quite comfortable in executing the plan and pushing the limits four a normal F+ drive level on both speed and climbs. The great skills on the drive also helped me go even more bold specially on the last hour run to YT and all the way back to the gravel track thanks to @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Ashutosh Garg and @Karthikeyan Govindarajan. Despite of some moments of stress and heavy exercises specially with the horrendous 80m climb on that extremely soft bowl to anchor @Zulfikhar Naiyar’s stuck car on the center of the bowl .. outstanding team effort and safe recovery with no pain other the terrible burning muscles 🤪. The scenery with these red sand beautifully mixed with black stone formations here and there and clouds casting dark shadows on the gigantic dunes was a sight to be always remembered. I enjoyed every minute, the drive, the dunes, the recoveries, the lunch by the Yellow Truck and @Ashutosh Garg nice mini kitchen setup for freshly made coffee enjoying beautiful breeze and charging our energy to the second part to the exit, and above all your great company! thanks for making this day a memorable one and looking forward for a Back2LIWA drive soon InshaALLAH

  4. DRIVE REPORT Let's have our cake and eat it !! Driving all the way to Abu Dhabi to go and have a look at a dirty old yellow truck ? Of course !! We were blessed with a Newbie convoy that drove marvelously. My plan was to reach the Yellow truck around noon or shortly after, which would give us ample time for a lunch break. To my own surprise we hit the spot even before 11AM, thanks to the way you guys navigated and pushed your vehicles through the terrain like champs ! I kept the first part of this drive easy as we wanted to check off the visit to Yellow Truck first and get that out of the way. After lunch break and meeting up with the Fewbie Plus convoy, we headed further south which meant we had lots of steep crossings to make. Apart from a few stucks and refusals we kept pushing along and reached the exit track around 4PM. @Fabien Monleau your second lead was brilliant. You kept good distance which gave you the opportunity to fine-tune my track so the convoy could pass through easily. The successes we booked yesterday are the result of that ! Thank you ! I hope your family had a splendid weekend ! @rohit kumar I must admit I had some apprehensions as we hadn't seen you around in the club often, and you brought a mighty big ship to the drive (but a real powerful ship). You drove very well throughout the day and I hope to see your Raptor soon coming winter on our drives ! Well done ! @Nicholas Cox1 and the family, I hope you guys liked this day out ! Your Dodge roared through the massive dunes and you drove very well yesterday ! PS please tell your wife to bring that Pink Pajero to the next drive ! We will give it a Carnity blessing ! @Ahmad Nerat and co-pilot, you guys drove with a bright smile and can-do attitude the whole day ! The comfy but super capable Landcruiser was definitely at home in Liwa ! @Benjamin and @Gary F you both bring such a great spirit to our drives ! I hope one day my son or daughter can get her own 4x4 and we can crush the sands together ! Enjoy these precious moments ! @Ron.P might be the only Swedish guy in Abu-Dhabi, but you rocked that Landcruiser all day long. Splendid work and great meeting you ! @Glenn W you feel at home in this terrain and your fantastic Montero Sport is your trademark (or is it the beard ?). Fantastic driven buddy !! @premindra rajaram we drove a few times together already and i was glad you got your introduction to another kind of terrain. You drove great ! Trust me, the big slopes do look intimidating, but you kept your cool and navigated them super precise ! Hope your wife liked the day out too ! Never shy of a joke, we had our resident clown @imranaasghar81 in our convoy today to keep the spirits up and be the Raptor Rescuer. It was great seeing you again and I hope your son enjoyed it too ! @Dodi Syahdar was two weeks in a row my superb sweep. Always ready to help and radiating calmness. Thank you so much for joining and helping us out ! Last but not least, the center player (if only we had one like that in the World Cup Belgian Team) of the day was @Srikumar. Having a partner in crime like that gave me the feeling we can easily drive to Arada next time Check out the gallery for some photos: https://carnity.com/gallery/category/1579-newbie-liwa-yellow-truck-abu-dhabi-02-dec-2022/ And the Relive footage: https://www.relive.cc/view/vDqge2R99VO Thanks again for being a part of this, and for joining us on this adventure ! Many more to come !!

  10. Trip Report : One picture says it all!! We looked for this once we planned and signed up on this drive to see as below @Vaibhav flawless 2nd lead! Love to see your insta videos with Waqas and Asad. @Jaro Tuzinsky some niggles here and there but you came out flying in a Pajero. Driver matters and not the car. @Bjoern buddy neighbor - super driving along with your copliot. Amazing fun . @Pascal No doubt you are up for your new promotion to FB plus, flawless. @ASAD. along with @Waqas Parvez, @Karthik Raptor gelling the convoy to perfection and supporting - helping with their advise and experience. @varunmehndiratta - with new red ride the Rubicon, listening to your advises once I was away down the slip phases - was such a calming reassurance that everything was under control. @Patrick van der Loo with the TJ - again no issues - experienced too for a second try.😛 @Richard Franks another Ruby Rubicon along with @Senthil Kumar- hardly heard on the radio. Last but not the least @M.Seidam - sweeping everyone to perfection. The longish convoy never kept us apart - even on the radio😜 Friends - Fantastic to have your company on the drive itself along with the camping previous night (not on this drive )- with @Gok Krish, @James Thorn, @Haitham Khattab , @Tareq Al Turq, @Simon D , @Mario Cornejo @Rob S Amazing to let everyone know how all the convoys this year got to yellow truck at all levels !! Look forward soon to see you all again doing what we do - camp and drive 🙂

  11. Thank you @JeromeFJ for leading us through the fantastic Liwa Drive all along till the famous Yellow Truck. This exceptional untouched Terrain with the magnificent tall dunes and very wide bowls made it all a great memorable experience for me and my little one. We enjoyed the whole experience including the camping, the adrenaline rush of those side slopes and being the second lead in this amazing terrain. Special Thanks to @Rob S for always supporting the team, quickly stepping out to shovel or look for alternative tracks to keep us moving and to @Mario Cornejo for sweeping and actively communicating at the back despite the long distance between the convoy members. shout out to all convoy members @Sunil Mathew, @Santoso Marjuki, @Tom B, @Imteeaz, was great driving with you, @Gok Krish, hope you had your car fixed and will join us again soon.

  15. @Islam Soliman (Hope you made your flight) thank you for a great drive yesterday that had everything in it as usual :), my first time to YT was indeed a memorable one. I do not remember in my 50+ drives having a drive with that amount of soft sand throughout, so it was a fantastic experience with a lot of learnings. Also never had a recovery where we used nearly every rope and a winch (I believe we had one rope left and that was only because Charlie had two lol). That recovery was a true display of Carnity teamwork at its best, where all 7 members of the convoy participated to make it happen. Moreover, that was a real work out, my legs were burning by the time I reached the top and I really was not sure I would make it. The other team members were just as exhausted as it was a truly grueling recovery from a stamina standpoint, but as always, we got through it with smiles and enthusiasm to obtain a safe recovery with a bunch of learning opportunities along the way. @Zixuan Huang - Charlie fantastic second lead and support for the drive as always. @Ranjan Das @Karthikeyan Govindarajan @Ashutosh Garg @Zulfikhar Naiyar you guys all drove exceptionally well and worked together the best I have seen and supported each other superbly. That recovery, to get it done safely, required teamwork, coordination and above all flawless communicating, we had all three in abundance, well done to one and all. I have posted some pics in the Gallery. I have a great rest of your weekend and hope to see you all in the sand again very soon.

  16. Thank you @Frederic for organizing a wonderful event and a perfect drive. It had a mix of everything and I am sure all the drivers would have grown immensely from this experience. Thank you to all the campers the previous night for creating such a brilliant atmosphere. Watching the live streaming of two matches was something worth driving 300 km. Look forward to more such adventures and camping sessions.

  17. Thanks Dr @Chaitanya D for the fantastic drive and leading us to YT, very well guided by @Vaibhav at SL. My first visit to Liwa and was totally worth it. Like I said after we completed the drive, the fantastic thing about it was everyones company right from when we camped at the night to the drive. Was great meeting everyone including members in the other convoys. Much has been said already about the drive itself so not going to repeat but everyone drove wonderfully well, I am sure the ones who brought their kids and families enjoyed it a lot. @Jaro Tuzinsky & @Pascal cant wait to see the camera and footages you took. Thanks @M.Seidam and @varunmehndiratta for anchoring the convoy, you presence gave a lot of confidence to all the drivers as well as the supports @Karthik Raptor @Waqas Parvez & @Vaibhav . Have a good weekend, see you all soon.

  18. Eventually I got the chance to feel the dunes of the Empty quarter “ geographically “ and to look up in to the sky and just be in moments of a trance while all were asleep and the camping lights were totally off . It was a trip worth each Km I drove with my little copilot my companion who just loved every bit of it .from the beginning till the end it was one of an unforgettable time spent with all of you dear friends. Indeed , Thank you my friend @Chaitanya D for arranging and leading this successful drive and the lovely road trip together on the way to the meeting point and back.to Dubai🙏 it was fabulous and the kids enjoyed it very much too. Many thanks extends to the support team @Vaibhav @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. @Karthik Raptor and @varunmehndiratta as well as to the the rest of the convoy members @Bjoern@Pascal@Richard Franks @Senthil Kumar@Patrick van der Loo@Jaro Tuzinsky Also to the camping friends from other convoys @Gok Krish @James Thorn @Mario Cornejo@Simon D @Tareq Al Turqand @Haitham Khattab ( lovely the kids met each others ) My son is asking me already when are we going for camping again 😅 Wish you all pleasant time and happy holidays 🙏 Cheers Seidam

  20. Thank you @Chaitanya D for leading us to yellow truck. 30 Mins into the drive after your car hit a bump and went in a limp mode and everyone tried to check on the car to have it restart. The best part of the drive we reached out to @Asif Hussainbhai and he reached to us along with his convoy . Followed by @JeromeFJwith his convoy. @Asif HussainBhai along with his expertise got the car back to normal and @JeromeFJ informing an issue with @Gok Krishcar who had to be exited and hope you reached home back safely. After all the issues were sorted out we moved on to reach the yellow truck. For me personally it was such a pleasure being a second lead and following you lines Doc @Chaitanya D . @Bjoern was the 3rd car who drove well and followed the instructions exceptionally well from me with the path ahead. @Pascalfollowed as 4th car drove really well. Between the drive we got @Jaro Tuzinsky behind me so he could have less churned tracks. who drove well. Good job on self recovery in soft sand. I am sure you got some good workout on the arms. @Patrick van der Loo @Richard Franksand @Senthil Kumar with their Jeeps drove without any issues. Lets not forget the support team @ASAD., @Waqas Parvez and @Karthik Raptor who took care of the convoy and support the refusals. We had a convoy of 13 cars but we did not have much issues specially with experts like @varunmehndirattaanchoring in center and @M.Seidamas a sweep. Gents it gave everyone a safety feeling with your presence in the convoy. Looking forward to meet everyone soon in the sand once again.

  21. Thanks @JeromeFJ for the great drive yesterday, and congrats to you , for reaching the famed Yellow Truck on your maiden lead in the Liwa terrain!! Not many can claim such an achievement!! The YT pilgrimage is off our bucket lists , thanks to your efficient and precise lead through this tough terrain. Good job at second lead @Haitham Khattab with his little boy joining , who I doubt is even tall enough to see through the windscreen, but still enjoyed the drive and kept the radio alive , without sleeping !!! Good to drive with @Rob S (waiting for the photos of my fully articulated suspensions ), @Tom B, @Gok Krish - twas unfortunate that you had to exit mid way, but i have put some photos of your jeep bowling high 🤘 @Santoso Marjuki - thanks for being my photographer at the YT 🙏 @Imteeaz- thanks for the lunch time cakes, and finally our mighty sweep @Mario Cornejo - I have captured one of the last photos you might have of your lost flag Some photos in the gallery of what i could manage to capture during this fantastic experience
