  2. Thanks doc @M.Seidam for a nice Friday evening drive with all the challenges it had. Yesterday was a testimonial on what makes @Carnityunique and what it is all about: Focused on safety and a like-minded community that comes together ensuring the safety of everyone above anything and everything else. Yes yesterday’s drive was not smooth sailing but at no point was there any frustration in the convoy, on the contrary, everyone was scrambling to help. Your cool headed approach and leadership kept everything under control with all the winds that were blowing against the sails and we still managed to enjoy it. Thank you for that! @Ahmad Nerat hats off to you buddy on all your efforts yesterday that were coupled with a fantastic positive attitude. See you again soon on the sand!

  3. Trip report “Sometimes winds come opposite to the ship desire “ .. the nearest English translation to what we say it in my mother tongue ! Running late for about 10 min ( apology for that ) I have arrived to the meeting point seeing everyone one set and ready. After checking and briefing we moved cracking the darkness and after few kilometers we encountered our first nasty stuck situation which was mine which ended eventually with a perfectly and smoothly executed by rope recovery that felt like winching more than a tug done by @Ahmad Nerat well done to all hands who helped shoveling and preparing. It seems my stuck triggered the winds pushing against our sails back and forth within the nastiest technical patch in Faqa area ! A series of refusals and crests Followed and one pop out lastly before our time was calling for exit. Apart from time slipping ,Safety is a red line and can’t be breached at all cost which made me to negotiate within its boundaries . @Mike M. I believe you did very well as second lead thanks for being vigilant and spot on with the communication. @Misha Puskar first night drive and first Fb in Such terrain , Maam 🎩 off . Hardly any issue very well done 👍. Same goes for @Parliament and @george charbelvery well done 👍. @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke you gave us all opportunity of how to deal with the pop out 😉🙏 . @Jad Moussalli I liked the stock back recovery points of the defender we learn every day something new .very well done . @Jaro Tuzinsky pleasure seeing you again probably next time with your new desert toy ( FjC 🤫😄) . @Bashar Besha nice to see you for the second time thanks for coming bro and for the help . @Hugo although I am not a fan of suspension modification but the one you have it makes the FJC to crave for more 😅 I hope you have enjoyed the drive . @Ishak apart from the usual don’t think you had any major issue thanks for coming bro . @Gary F I liked the sand runner , long vehicle which needs at time a bit of enough push over the crests . You did well in the night drive .👍last but not least @Ahmad Nerat honestly you were the key propelling our ship against the winds for the whole night . Very well done and thank you so much . all and all very challenging Drive in the dark in a very challenging terrain and despite our struggles we all got out safely on shore . You were the Fewbie desert knights take care cheers

  4. You have done more than great . Inshallah will plan a repeat to this in the day light with little modification . And by the way your car doesn’t need modifications . I drive stock ( no major mods ) since day one in carnity till yesterday 😅 Thank you Mike for your kind words and yes SAFETY is all what is it about at all level scales .🙏

  5. @M.Seidam thanks for giving me the chance to support you learn from you closely.. the drive was amazing, though it was less KM than usual fewbie drives. you give the chance to learn how to shovel, and give pull other cars properly. Technical terrain is challenging for most drivers in daylight, imagin in night. u made easy as much as it cld be.. @Gary Fwhat amazing gladiator, i was so confident driving behind u in sweep postion. things were somooth regardless of couple of refusal we encountered. @Bashar Beashabe ready man we need to unleash the power of supper safari.. the mufler sound is amazing. I think I might fix a similar one.. @Ishak and rest of the drivers were so brilliant in handling the terrain as @M.Seidam mentioned. thanks guys for nice words on the thread. I was just trying to support u to enjoy the drive to the maximum. Offloading start to be way of life 🙀 short report video can be found in the bellow link from the back of the convoy https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8VRbDwj/ Looking forward to drive with you all again BR, Ahmad

  6. OMG, what a night drive!!! 🤩 As for my first night drive it got a bit technical towards the end; however, thanks to perfect briefing and guidance from @Kailas and precise track from @Joji varghese I kind of flowed through the dunes 🙂 Thank you all for a great support and for all the small but super useful tips like driving with an open window since I will see more 👍. Thank you, @Felix Obst, for being a brilliant co-pilot, and for being able to train in your car while waiting for my own ☺️. It was just a wonderful drive and I cannot wait for the next! 😍

  7. Thank you @M.Seidam! I was a little nervous before the drive, asking @Jaro Tuzinskyif you will be gentle on us 😄 and a bit unsure about my car with zero modifications and city tires...but the night drive turned out to be more fun than I expected (minus the hickups which were a good learning experience anyways)! looking forward to the next one 🙋🏼‍♀️

  9. Thank you @M.Seidam, and its good to see you again. Beautiful night drive and great support from the team. Especially impressed with the support from @Ahmad Nerat in the back, and with positive attitude as Mike mentioned. The night drive was easier than I expected, but it still was challenging. When you don’t have constant visual on the track like a day drive, I found it more important than day drives to always keep an eye on the car ahead and see how its maneuvering through the terrain. Its helps avoid last second surprises. Good experience and looking forward to the next one.

  12. Thanks @Kailas for a fantastic start to weekend ! Must admit, the entire convoy drove extremely well for the level and drive you offered, commendable ! Perfect second Lead @Joji varghese ! Congratulations @Marketa Dobesova & @Patrick for the way you kept up with the pace ! Well done ! I had my eyes on @Pavel Pashkovskiy & @Klaus Pedersen - who were again flawless with their drive and presence of mind, when at times they displayed when to stop even if it leads to refusal, ensuring they all times followed the convoy position and not overtaking- key to night drives ! And am sure the same was the case with folks in back end of convoy - Great job, specially when its churned up - never easy ! @Looper Always great to have you in the convoy ! and @Rajiv Sam - been long ago we drove together, was good to have you as well Thanks @Senthil Kumar for sweeping us for the first half of the drive ! @Georges Kazan hope your co-passenger recovered from the drive effect and all well now A BIG SHOUT OUT TO @Pavel Pashkovskiy For the coffee/tea and treat for everyone - That was much needed my friend ( and am sure everyone would agree ) - Very thoughtful ! would be looking forward to having many more coffees with you in upcoming drives !!

  16. Excellent pict Whenever you are in a tricky situation the most important thing first is to keep a cool smile. Second to grab a bottle of water and enjoy it . After that all becomes super easy like lemon squeezy . All have seen it and how the car got unstuck . Why the pull was from the front and not from the back ? !

  17. Thanks all for confirming your availability. Here are the key details for the drive. Radio: Channel 4 Convoy Order (we will see if we can explore the possibility of rotating the positions) 1. Varun 2. @Imran Kashif 3. @Jessica Lambert 4. @Looper 5. @Santoso Marjuki 6. @Amr Aydin 7. @Gok Krish 8. @Imteeaz 9. @Ranjan Das Key notes: 1. Please ensure your car is in perfect shape incl spare tyre. Location is a bit off the city, so we won’t have easy access to garage or services close by. 2. Carry sufficient water with you and some snacks. This is exploration drive and we might have some unknowns so better plan for longer stay than usual/planned in desert. 3. Take good rest before the drive. See you all on Sunday morning.

  19. Dear Desert Drivers, Great day today, and lots of leaning for all of us! We had a good start in the cold morning. These dunes close to Nahel are beautiful, and the clean sand, still a bit humid was perfect for a quiet warm-up. Soon reaching higher slopes, we could push a bit our engines to climb higher, and enjoy the views around. The convoy was moving well despite some intermittent Temp High on the Jeep of @Deepak Eswar. We were continuing on this nice section of high dunes and sharp ridges, when I underestimated the soft part of a ridge, and had no other choice than going down into a deep bowl, taking with me the first cars of the convoy. There we where, 6 cars grouped against each other at the bottom of this bowl where it was barely possible to make a U turn. Clearing some space, reversing as high as possible, then climbing the other side, avoiding tracks from the previous car, one by one, the cars went out. Was remaining the little blue Jeep. Almost after each attempt, Transmission Temp was coming high, and we had to let it rest. Deflating to 9psi improved a bit, but still, the ridge was too high. 4L was bring the Temp light almost immediately. I tried myself without more success. While the car was cooling down, and I was thinking of another winding line to try, @Bjoern remembered that he had a winch ! I took the car as high as it could, 3/4 of the bowl, and then, with the winch + 2 ropes, step by step, we managed to take the Blue Jeep out of the bowl. It has now a name ! After some rest, for the car and the drivers, we left this area with a majestic dive to the sabkha. Timing was against us, and I had to forget the initial plan to reach Sweihan through Nagra dune. We will be back! Through the sabkhas, and crossing two challenging technical portions, and a nice area of virgin dunes, we reached the track leading to the exit point on the E95. Amazing driving of the whole convoy in the technical portions, great team work from everyone during the recoveries. @Yaseen87 excellent drive, thank you for the second lead, @Rk ram, great drive for your 1st FB, apart one fishtailing at the beginning, good control of your car in the climbs and in the technical portions, @Ishak getting comfortable at FB level, very well done, @Deepak Eswar, for your 1st FB, it was an experience. Try to improve these temp problems before the summer. Do not hesitate to do a few NB drives also to become more confident and fully enjoy FB level. @Bjoern, you saved the day with your winch, you are now confident in driving in most of situations. @Federico Galbieri, very confident driver also, it was nice to see your guests enjoying the drive. @Beide Worku, @Chris Wing, thank you for the great support my friends, always a pleasure to have you in a drive. Waiting for your pics and feedback, enjoy the rest of the weekend !
