@Bobby it can be yes but most probably an electrical issue. ... On the other hand Mostly a sensor circuit error is caused by a grounding issue. You may want to double check your wiring and make sure all the grounds are installed correctly.

One of the most common problems was with the engine. Reports said that the De ville use to burn oil and owners were feeding it oil on a continuous basis. Problems with the older de villes weren't even covered by GM under warranty! I remember that someone i knew had a 97 model and he had to have his exhaust manifold replaced even before the car hit 80,000 km.

Hello everyone ... my 07 has come down with a problem lately. the transmission seems to be acting up whenever I shift gears from the first to another. the trans seems to pop out of gear with a loud thud. did not think i had any serious problems with my 07 up till now. any ideas on what I could be looking at? trans change?

Well two things come to my mind instantly - it could be the belt or the power steering since the latter can potentially make noise. Try letting your motor run and place your ear next to the power steering pump to see if the noise has any connection there.

Guys - this is very creepy, i have never had this issue ever ... my 07 CTS ran like a gem since the day I bought it ... The battery and everything is fresh and working fine ... This evening on my way back from work i noticed that my display and everything else electronic just went blank ... just stopped working. I checked my battery and did the re-connection and all but still there is no luck. Do I have to take it in? Thanks

Have you checked the alternator? The electrical demand on these Caddy's is unbelievable.

Personally i think that the increment in the horsepower is enough to increase those grands for the vehicle. 291hp is very impressive and all the elite vehicles come with this kind of hp so I would definitely pay the extra 10,000 for a DTS with a 291hp!!

The CTS is pretty amazing ... not something that you would want to buy second hand even if you are getting a good price for it. Consider the source of your product ... if he is reliable and someone you can trust then go ahead ... moreover if the price difference between a first hand and a second hand is only a couple of grands ... please don't!if you loved the car so much then save up! or lease it out!

if the car engine is running and i am not accelerating the car cuts off but when i am accelerating its working normal. what is this ?
