  1. Very good thread idea Brandan, I really like it to see a list of competing brand models as per their fuel mileage. Compact Luxury Crossover (my favorite segment) Audi Q5: 9-10 L/100BMW X3: 9-10 L/100Mercedes ML350: 10-11 L/100Lexus RX350: 11-12 L/100Infiniti FX35: 13-14 L/100
  2. If car is starting then battery cannot be doubted. It has something to do with engine tuneup or spark plug, plug wires etc and hope car is well serviced as these are the first symptom when car is running over the serviced kms and air filter, oil and oil filter is sluggish and deteriorate the performance.
  3. ABS stands for Advance Braking System, and any goof up in braking mechanism only throws this light to be switched on. It's a serious light and not to be ignored as your normal braking will be fine but hard braking in emergency might result in slipping than ABS assisted braking response, that locks and unlock wheel every fraction of second to decrease braking distance and increase the efficiency of braking in emergency. Brakes without ABS will 100% lock the wheel and result in slippage that will increase the braking distance by twice and result in sure shot impact.
  4. 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS - 455 HP beautie. 6.2 Liter V8 delivering 455 HP and 455 lb-ft torque with LT1 Motor. Boyz time to get hi and get ready to kick Mustang ass with stock motor.
  5. I agree with LilAnn, 60-80 was better and now 2010 onwards people again using their bloody creative ahead in showing curls and curves in the car designs. Just because of design Kia and Hundai whole impression has been transformed in last few years, thanks to Peter Schreyer for leaving Audi and joining Kia for good design cause.
  6. This seems like a profit center for Land Rover and that's why they don't want to fix this for good. One of my office friend has gone through this for all the time and every year his Range is parked outside his villa in limp mode. Too bad to see this state of an icon in lucury cars.
  7. I guess Oman is a better idea to enjoy some cool weather after this blazing hot here. I am open to both but just putting my preference here.
  8. Well said Kasim +1 Especially dumb ass who comes in front and brake hard is not an emergency case for sure.
  9. Dobinsons being an Australian brand I will trust more than UK, Japanese or US brand where offroad is not as serious and rugged as in Australia.
  10. That's a wonderful idea to break away from Dubai heat. I am definitely in buddy.
  11. ADNOC shouldn't be selling so bad quality fuel when they have so much good quality coming through natural sources. Quite hard to believe and accept.
  12. Have you read the recent news that Dubai Police is installing new camera to counter the lane discpline issue to deal with zig zag drivers. I hope they consider this lane speed issue as well in that camera and announce some fines for driving in fast lane at slow speed. Danny: I think you may get fine soneday by cops in driving too fast in right most lane, as that lane is for slowest drivers and heavy vehicles.
  13. On an average if burns around 1 liter every 1000-1200 kms then it's very normal. Some old turbo porsche may burn within 800 km due to ageing turbo and weaker seals. Any other lower numbers are worrisome.
  14. Due to smaller size of engine it limits the cooling capacity of Air conditioning an din hot climate smaller engine cars tend to give up AC after little while of driving or if you stuck in jam then AC will throw hot air than cool air. You can do long trips in yaris in winter no problem.
  15. Well it's not always, adil. If you get the rebuilding done properly from dealership you will not experience any difference and its better that way if your car is low mileage. If engine done above 150k - 200k, I agree swapping is better than rebuilding the old and tired engine.
  16. It's not about cost gshane, Mark explained very well that Ford and GM allows flush but with a professional way, so one should def try that first. Isn't?
  17. Always buy tires with Temp: A or B, never buy C rated tires in Dubai. This rating is imprinted on each tire sidewall along with Treadware and Traction. Ideal is Temperature: A, Treadware: 400, Traction: AA Acceptable: Temperature: B, Treadware: 250-300, Traction: A/B
  18. Haven't you heard, you get what you pay for. Or little rude one, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. lol.
  19. Hi Fellas, wondering if anyone has basic tips for newbie for doing some small time adventure in sand dunes.... I have drove sometimes on beach and did farely well, so think of heading some dune driving at basic level no dune bashing yet.
  20. What type of sound it has? Is it in idling or driving? If its in driving then at what rpm do you get that noise?
  21. It's called oil pressure sensor sender. However I am not sure if its same from the image as it's not very clear.
  22. Well the list depends on the type of pocket and actual definition of the word: cheapest. Audi A6, Audi S8, VW Golf, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6 is few good racer cars. Sticking with japanese will be cheaper than German and American brands. For newbie start slow and get hang of driving, and maintenance and then slowly upgrade the ride every 6-12 months until you are satified with league and definition of cheapest.
  23. Hey people. Just for general knowledge, can anyone tell me how does the MAP sensor works in a car?
  24. Which color you think is best for BMW 5 series?
