  1. Anyone knows where i can get rear spoiler in the link below?? I checked JAM spare parts div and they said they will have to order it and wait for like 2 months. They also dont do installation. http://www.hyundai.com.au/vehicles/all-new-elantra/accessories
  2. I checked with hyundai SZR & they said its not available. It needs to be ordered from which will take around 1 month.
  3. nice. where did u get this done? how much? thanks
  4. 8-9l/100km is actually not bad, assuming its mostly city driving. this would more reasonable if you're always stuck in traffic, e.g., if your always on the shj-dxb road and if your ac is always maxed. it may also depend on the way you drive. you may have been duped by the claimed 6l/100km which is what hyundai advertised. like most car advertisement, these are usually the best fuel consumption that you can get if you're always on the highway with less traffic and probably max rpm of 2.5k only. im usually having 8-10l/100km with my elantra. and thats mix city driving and casual dxb-auh trip. i only get 6-7l/100km if im doing dxb-auh trip everyday for a month. there was a time when my 1 month route was purely SZR to bur dubai and usually during rush hour, i ended up having 11-12l/100km. so dont be disappointed about the 8-9l/100km.
  5. how much exactly is your average fuel consumption? as said by jake, hyundais are supposedly almost at par with most of the fuel efficient cars out there.
  6. Agree with David.. Go for a test drive first. I have an elantra but I bought it primarily because my budget is only upto 60k. Had it been higher, i may have considered honda. But actually, i may still go for elantra. Service is cost is surprisingly cheap. My 10k service was AED 380..My 15k service was only 180.
  7. I have a 2013 mid-range elantra. its really good. its not very powerful but u will not feel left behind by other cars. fuel economy is also good. I usually get 9-12l/100km for city driving. it could go as low as 6l/100km for hi-way. heres my opinion to it. I live in Dubai and nowadays, i see hyundai cars used as taxi. i know for sure that taxi company's will do a lot of research and comparison and will use reliability and fuel economy as primary basis in selecting cars. Before, its only toyota cars. So u can say that its now at par with Toyota in terms of those areas. but with the price that you're paying, i.e., 10k-20k lesser, you're in a win win situation. The bad part is, korean cars (kia and hyundai), are still branded as cheap brands. but i believe it will change in the future. maybe even sooner.
  8. hi Ehab, Im not from hyundai and I think Hyundai wont mind if I post the link to their site first 1000km is free of charge. I guess its for all cars. Then afterwards, services will be done for every 5000km. Major service i think is done for every 10000km. For the prices of maintenance service for succeeding mileage, please check this site http://hyundai-uae.com/uae/services/service_contract.html Its best to check with the service centers as the prices may not be updated. But at least ull get an idea of how much it will cost u.
  9. thanks a lot...i'll check it out this weekend.
  10. cool.. i also have the white elantra so wat did u do to ur steel wheels? can it be sold?
  11. i called hyundai's toll free num. the sales rep said that with regards to the warranty, its better to consult their service centers on the type of tryres and rims that you are going to get. she explained that the steering or even the engine might not be suited for your new tires or rims, thus, it may deteriorate faster that it should be. in that case, hyundai may not honor the warranty. i'll do that when i go for my first service (i havent reach 1000 km yet, lol). so there you have it, i consulted my sales person. he said its ok to change it and it will not void the warranty....however, i tried inquiring via hyundai's toll free number, and they have different answer..
  12. thanks. not really a car freak and elantra is my first car that i prefer to buy with authorized dealer of hyundai. why didnt you opt for the 17" with the hyundai dealer? i havent really research much on this, thus, i might go for "alloy oem rims 16"x6.5" five spokes with hyundai center cap logo and hancook tires all original(even the air as the guy said)".....haha.
  13. thanks. its a bit expensive though but i think its worth it. I opted to buy the mid-range as i dont really need leather seats, abs and sunroof. but that comes with steel wheels though. planning to change mine soon.mind if you let me know the name of the store? i'll try to visit it soon.
