HI HAMID! HAVE ALL YOUR BELTS CHECKED FOR SQUEALING. OVERHEATING COULD BE SOMETHING SERIOUS, IS YOUR COOLANT LEVEL OK? MAKE SURE THERE IS COOLANT (NOT WATER). FORD FOCUS IS A GREAT CAR, JUST NEEDS SOME ATTENTION ON TIME. PREVENTING PROBLEMS IS IMPORTANT RATHER THAN DEALING WITH THEM. LET US KNOW HOW IT IS GOING...

GOOD ONE JEH! LET ME JOIN SHARING "I DIDN'T KNOW MY CAR CAN DO THAT" DISCOVERIES! I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN I PRESSED CONTINUOUSLY "UNLOCK" BUTTON ON THE CAR REMOTE, IT OPENS ALL THE WINDOWS, AND "LOCK" CLOSES ALL OF THEM. KIND OF USEFUL IF YOU WANNA AIR THE CAR BEFORE GETTING IN ) -

TRAFFIC FINES
aboo Ibraheem replied to aboo Ibraheem's topic in Ford General Discussion Forum in UAE
The Dubai Roads and Transport authority will remove the daily AED 24 cap on Salik road tolls in July, it was announced on Sunday. Previously, commuters who crossed the Salik gates more than six times in a day were only required to pay a maximum of AED 24. But, starting July 15, commuters will no longer benefit from the limit. An RTA statement said the decision will only affect a small portion of commuters, as 95% of private vehicles do not cross the gates more than six times a day. RTA said the move will encourage motorists to use alternative routes such as Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (former Emirates Road). Two new Salik gates were inaugurated on April 15, bringing the total number of gates to six (Mamzar, Aiport Tunnel, Garhoud bridge, Maktoum bridge, Safa and Barsha). http://en-maktoob.news.yahoo.com/blogs/the-971-report/dubai-s-rta-to-remove-salik-daily-cap-102510954.html -

fordafford wrote: > why is my mechanic saying that spark plugs are the most critical part of > the car? Spark plugs are little devices inside the cylinder that take in high voltage electricity at one end and create a spark at the other end. There, the spark ignites the gas and air mixture, and the resulting combustion is what ultimately powers the car. This service involves removing the old spark plugs and replacing them with new ones. Should I do this service when it's recommended? Yes. Why do I have to do this? At the sparking end of the spark plug is a built-in gap between two or more little pieces of metal, called electrodes. When the plug fires, one or more sparks jump that gap and a tiny bit of the metal is burned off. This happens hundreds of times every minute. Over time, the gap between the metal tips gets too big. Also, your spark plugs can get fouled, but that would indicate that you have a problem. What happens if I don't do this? Your engine will start to misfire and run poorly, performance will suffer, efficiency will decrease and emissions will dramatically increase. Your car may also be difficult to start.

I WAS TOLD THAT ON MY FOCUS 2006 I HAVE A TIMING CHAIN INSTEAD OF TIMING BELT AND IT DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY CHANGING. ANYBODY KNOWS IF THAT IS TRUE?
