  1. Price is approximately AED 100-120 k which is a bit on the higher side if compared to its competitors like the KIA Sportage. Its engine is a 2.4-liter; All Wheel Drive, five-speed automatic that makes it not the most exciting car to drive but has ample, even power and delivers transmission smoothly and quickly AW Observed Fuel Economy: 40 Kpmg or 11.3 Liters per 100 Kms which is a good fuel economy score for its class. Fit for a dummy?
  2. Its actually an orbital buffer, mechanical tool not available with everyone which is why majority of the people get it done by the pros.
  3. polishing the lens helps to increase the visibility on an accord's headlights since they are sealed units on majority of the model years. you need to polish them with a lens polish potion and a buffer to clear out the lens.
  4. It's ok if you are not an expert as the process is simple. Take a good look at the long, coiled piece of wire which connects the window to the metal window regulator. You can just replace the coil if it is rusted or broken. If the coil is in good condition however, then scan the metal window regulator for loose or broken pieces. It could be something very minor like an out of place wheel or screw.
  5. hello fellas, Last week one of the spark plugs just shot and it made a loud noise. I shut down the car, took it to Al Futtaim and got a new plug installed. The car seemed back to normal. I brought it home. After a day or two I saw some error codes comes up, I disconnected the battery to wipe out the codes since I genuinely thought that those codes were triggered due to the spark plug incident. Now my car won't start and it has been sitting idle. I checked the connectors, wires, battery, everything ... can't seem to find anything wrong. What can it be?
  6. So anyone gave this practice a shot? Apparently you have to get really really good at using the hand-brake. the best way to practice is by placing cones or drums in different places where you can drift around them. The official Drift Competition was held at Yas Marina Circuit in 2012 - I couldn't make it and wonder when the next one is going to be. By the way I was reading this and thought I would share some practice techniques too: http://driftmission.com/guides/technique-practice-guide/
  7. Hi guys! I wanted to be the first to initiate an official thread about Drifting on this forum! Has anyone tried it ever? Do you know how to drift? What are the main steps to practice drifting? Which cars should be used to drift? Share your personal experiences!!!
  8. I had the same experience. They replaced the master cylinder which did not help. At the second service call the service department called the engineers at Honda who suggested several tests. Finally, they replaced the ABS Modulator and this seems to have solved the problem.
  9. hi people!! my boss is looking for a Honda CR-V ( something like a 2004 to 2010 model ). he was obviously looking for someone to not only do the research and analysis for him, but also to snoop the market and that is what brings me to this apparently helpful forum. so firstly, any CR-V owners who are looking to sell please reply. secondly, if there are any automotive experts or any current/previous owners out there who can guide us about potential issues with the CR-V, please fill me in. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thirdly and lastly, it just occurred to me that out of a staff of 36 people who work in our I.T related company, my boss asked me to conduct the kinda search his ten year old son could have done given the vast amount of information/help available online, not to mention the user friendly interface of this website. i am a software developer. =[
  10. the squealing noise is caused by high-frequency vibration of the brake pads against the rotating brake disc. Under average braking conditions, some brake noise is normal and cannot be eliminated as vibration is the unavoidable result of friction generated by the pads. this basically happens because the caliper clamps them against the rotating disc.
