  1. Amazingly beautiful design from Hyundai. Very good choice Dan. Thanks for sharing the pics and wish you good drive all way long. Cheers.
  2. I believe its only because you have paid them in advance and they can toggle service agreement guys as they like. The only way to found out truth is call them again and pretend you are a new customer (without giving the plate number) and see the next appointment availability and if it is any earlier you will know your answer. Whatever the outcome, do let everyone knows here. It will surely help others too in the future.
  3. More than i have saved, i think I made other people saved with helping so many ppl around just because some of you guys helped me when i was in trouble.
  4. Vivekac: Good luck man, and good choice made with pathy. yannick27: Your case is very clear with below two options: 1. If only vibration at steering after 110: Steering stabilizer need change 2. If you have vibration + slight wobble: Wheel balancing is out I know i might sound stupid to you that after reading that 2 set of tire change and you still have this, but trust me about 90% of tire installing shops DONT BALANCE PRECISELY and that fraction of unbalance cause high speed vibration with little wobble. Get to some real professional who do wheel balancing with properly calibrated machine. I saw one good shop in Deira few years back, but i cant recall its name and number. Its somewhere diagonally opposite Muraqabat Police Station (Behind metro station).
  5. Misfiring usually cause by worn out spark plug, bad HT leads (spark plug wires) or weak ignition coil. Get these 3 thing checked, that any mechanic can check in less than 30 minutes and advise. Make sure if mechanic says HT leads or coil are faulty then get the second opinion as sometime experienced mechanic can also make mistake in judging the real cause.
  6. V6 and 3.5 s actually bad for city drive bro, there is no as such way that you can improve it. Just hit less throtle and plan braking from distance.
  7. Post your questions here, may be non centennial owners can help you too...!
  8. You should be checking the gear oil interval and look into getting it change if in doubt. This D to R and P to R is first sign of aging gear oil. When car is hot at ideal temp, gear oil also gets at ideal temperature and circulate between gears better, when in cold it takes some time to provide adequate lubrication in gears.
  9. the grooves of the gear is worn out. get them checked.
  10. what did you do after the trip? what did you check and change?
  11. when driving the car if you feel the road more then you are suppose to this means that its time to change the car bushes.
  12. Hi Baily, looking at date i am sure you must have checked and fixed the problem. Can you share what was it? Was it some freaky sensor or fuse??? Was it some electrical wiring short circuit that was draining the battery?
  13. sharjah BMW road have got few good garages too if you dont want to spend much and have enough time on your hand then i suggest you go tho them.
  14. down hill or uphill if you have divine this long then i suggest you get the brakes changed as soon as possible.
  15. start with removing the bulbs drive for few days and see if it still blows.if it does then you have a wiring issue and if it does not, then you have a socket problem.
  16. To be more specific ECU is located on the underside of the dash, inline with the steering wheel An engine control unit (ECU) controls a series of actuators on an internal combustion engine to ensure the optimum running.
  17. If you take you car to a mechanic and ask him to change the setting of the brakes he will do it for you what is needed to smoother the hard braking that its a setting that he has to do. what i didnt understand is why did this happen suddenly as this should happen if you have just hanged the brakes
  18. i suggest that you shouldn't do this job yourself as one mistake may cost you alot. just for fyi its located inside the timing cover as its driven by the timing belt.
  19. 2005 has throttle cable very well, and if you are feeling the throttle has too much play then scot is right. Get throttle cable adjusted and see if it help. If throttle has no play and actually takes full throttle to depress to move the car then get full check or service done, it might have many reasons: Choked air filter, bad fuel pump, bad fuel filter, old spark plug etc.
  20. Hi Scot. Mechanical fan u mean the clutch fan aka viscose clutch based fan just behind radiator (big fan)??? If yes, then thats the best fan your car can have. If its not cooling properly first is to change the clutch of that fan. Its slightly expensive but its worth saving the life of radiator or engine itself. In case if you dont know i would like to explain the function of that clutch fan here. It has two speed based on engine temp. On normal temp it runs exactly half the engine RPM and when car exceed slight idle temperature it runs on full speed = engine rpm. How this resistance happen to run at half the engine speed is thru viscose clutch which has silicone fluid inside. And when car exceed temperature that silicone fluid melts away removing the complete resistance inside the clutch which result in moving fan at 100% same speed as engine rpm and cooling the radiator faster. With age this clutch tend to go bad after 5-7 years. And for heavy duty cooling this viscose clutch fan is MUCH BETTER than any electrical fan. Or else you are going for Kenlow electric fans that comes with speed control (too expensive mate). About radiator, i will say hold it until you change the clutch fan and see if you still need to change the radiator. If still you like then dont double the core thickness as you mentioned as water pump will over work and die soon or may be water pump wont have enough energy to rotate water, so car will still overheat. Max you can increase the core thickness by 50% not 100% please. Best is if you can afford go for custom made aluminum radiator and then forget about all heating woes for next 5 years. For custom made radiator go to Dolphin radiator in sharjah and they will make one for you or have ready fit in stock. They are good and not so expensive too. Water indeed give best cooling than any coolant, but for the life of radiator its always better to use coolant and don't change that otherwise you will have too much rust and blocked radiator in less than a year. For OBDII socket, open driver door and sit on ground and look under steering closer to fuse box it shud be there. Im not 100% sure about this location but i am 90% sure. Good luck.
  21. When engine oil become little used it tend to get sticky first and then start getting darker and about to change. Its absolutely normal behavior. If color isn't turned dark then its safe to use. If still in doubt, better get it changed as it is so cheaper than fuel and cost of damaging the engine you will be better off getting it changed.
  22. its very simple the ECU is under the dash board either on the passenger side or the driver side.
